My professor is quite the record
That continues to preach the same tired
Lines that evade from hitting
The abscesses of my hideous brain.
But he claims humans have a soul,
That in order to be complete your heart
And your brain must continue to grow
Even after the casket has closed.
I'm not sure I believe in souls, in
Good-natured people that are just
Good-natured to their core.
Everyone has a motive to fight back,
And if that means sacrifices of others
Then they will not care.
Yes, my professor repeats the same lines,
But does he really believe them or
Is he also sacrificing someone else
For their time?
