Chapter 19 - Wake Me Up

MERETIANA'S POV *4 days later*
I wake up in a white room. I see a window and outside is a beautiful view of coconut trees. A lady in a knee-length white dress walks in with a tray of food. "Am I in heaven? Are you an angel?" I say hoarsely.

She looks at me happily before placing the tray on the table beside me. "No darling, your on Earth. And your lucky to be alive" she smiles. I'm Alive? I thought I wanted to die. In my room. And go off and explore whatever happens after death. I wanted to join God & Jesus because I was tired of living. And now I'm back where I started.

She leaves the room and then within seconds I see Lose, Sita, Saia & oh my gosh! Teu! And the doctor. "Ah, glad to see you've awoken Ms. Kahlio, your tests will be back soon since it was hard to complete since they were always inside the room" he softly laughs pointing to them then leaves.

"Far Mere, you had us scared" Lose sighs. "I know aye, we were freaking worried about you cuz" Sita sighs aswell. All I do is stay quiet and sit up from the bed. "Lee, I don't EVER want you to do that again, ok?" Teu orders. I nod softly.

"Why didn't you let me die?" I ask putting my hands over my face. They all look at each other with a confused look. Lose begins to talk. "Uh, sis? Did you just say th-" I interrupt her.

"Yeah I did Lose. I'm tired of being brought in the middle of there fights. And as much as it hurts, I still love them. Yeah I know right, I've been avoiding them so much that I've ignored my feelings. Do you guys know how much it kills to see someone you love all over someone else? Well that's what I feel every time I'm around them" I cry.

"Lee, this isn't you. The Lee I know wouldn't give up without a fight. She doesn't stop just because something pains her. And she definitely, never gives up. " Wow, everyone give a clap for Teu, the motivational coach.

"Ledea's gone.... Meretiana's here. And the Lee you know, no longer exists in this world" I say looking down and crossing my legs. "Are you going to let them win that easily? As I recall, you were the girl that knocked out 5 Atele guys 2x the size of you. You were the girl who never knew fear" Saia replies placing a hand on my back.

"I just..... You know what? You guys are right. I was fine before them and I will be fine after them" I smile brightening up the mood. "Okay one we're just going to sign you out ok" Saia smiles back before leaving the room with Teu.

"Man girl, you look... Uh..... Hospitaly" Sita studders. "Shut up, did you get me some change?" I laugh. "Girl, we've kept your little bag there since you were here" Lose points out.

I stand up and fall to the ground. My legs feel weak and wobbly. "Mere, are you ok?" Both girls rush to me and help me up. " yeah I'm alright." I reply brushing invisible dust off my whatever this dress thingy is called.

I grab my bag and walk to the bathroom. This time, I don't fall. I see what clothes they have packed. Some knee length black shorts, a red 2k14 shirt and some red converses. I quickly change into them.

I fix up my hair and tie it into a ponytail. I have no idea where to put the hospital dress so I just leave it near the sink. I grab the strap of my bag and walk out of the bathroom.

"Ready to go? The guys are in the car" Sita smiles. They link both my arms and we walk crazily to the car. I get into the car, only to be squished both sides my Sita & Lose.

"Everyone ready?" Teu asks placing his hands on the steering wheel. Before anyone could answer I reply "yep'' and Teu drives off. "Any thin interesting happen while I was gone" I ask breaking the silence.

No reply. They just focus looking outside the windows. "Am I still singing" I ask. "Yep, you got a song for tomorrow?" Saia replies. "Yep" I say popping the 'p'.

Once we arrive home, I'm pulled into a tight squeeze by Aunty. She's telling me in Tongan, never to do that again. She let's go of my and I walk In to my room. I put my bag down and jump onto the bed.

Teu comes in and sits on the bed beside me. I sit up. "So, all that really happened?" He questions scratching the side of his head. I nod. "Man, I've missed my baby sister" he laughs fuzzing up my hair.

"How's mum& dad?" I ask crossing my legs onto the bed. "They're good, they miss you but there good" he smiles. "How long you staying for?" I ask. "As long as I need" he pats he top of my head.

"Laters Teu. Jam gonna get some rest" I say as he walks out of the door. I take a shower first knowing I must stink.

After my shower I fall asleep.
************************************************************************* I wake up. I notice my left risk is covered in a white bandage. I get up and start to get ready. As I walk into the kitchen, I see everyone is up and Sita & Lose already left.

"Where you going" Saia asks. "Where does it look like?" I answer. "You really want to go to school?" Teu questions folding his arms. Aunty says that it's up to me.

They don't bother to argue and just help me get all my stuff ready. Teu offers to drop me off but I refuse and take the bus with Saia. I do what I did before, squish my face into the window to be unnoticeable.

When Kaina's get on he sits behind me with Saia. "Welcome back egg" he laughs. I playfully punch his arm. Next is Lose's stop. She races straight to me and questions why I came to school.

Once we arrive at school, all eyes are on me. All I see are surprised looks and a few death glares. We see Sita and we all have a little trio conversation. "Mere, what are you doing here" she asks.

"Um.... Learning. Living. Breathing" I joke. "Don't worry Sita. She says she's fine" Lose replies. I tell them I need to go to the bathroom to fix up my hair so they start to walk to English without me.

I walk infront of the mirror and fix up my braid. I take my hair out and restyle it. As I begin to braid, I feel hands on my shoulders and I turn to see........
