~Onyx p.o.v.~

I was used to it. To being in the middle of the attention I mean. Everyone stares at me and I enjoy it. My leather boots scrape against the asphalt while 'Thunderstorm' from AC/DC rush through my earphones. I smile at myself and flick a strand of my snow-white hair over my shoulder. I wink at a attractive boy next to a pick-up, he drops his notebook and pushes his heavy framed glasses further on his nose. I chuckle darkly and enter my new school.

This is my 2nd time here in Sydney, my first time was 148 years ago when Ruby dragged me with her. She met a boy back then, she always does. The boy died. We went away.

I walk straight to my new locker and open it, pushing some of my books into it and closing it after.

"you didn't scare me" I say while walking away from the boy who appeared behind my locker door. "I can see that" he joggs towards me but I keep walking. "I erm... I like your hair" he stammers. I chuckl and turn to him. "thanks" I cross my arms in front of my chest and get a good look at the boy in front of me. He has a blonde quiff, piercing blue eyes and a black lip-ring. I was lying if I said he isn't the most beautiful human I've met here. "you want something from me, blue-eyes?" I ask him. he stares into my eyes, the reaction I get a lot from my unusual eyes. "y-your eyes" he stammers. "they're pitch black, believe me, I know" I pat him on his broad shoulder and walk into my classroom. Stupid annoying teenagers.

~

Lunch break. I haven't talked to anyone besides blue-eyes. I like that nickname for him, It suits him.

All of the tables are full and nobody wants to sit with me, I can sense that. I'm the new girl. The one with weird, white hair and pitch black eyes (only my iris though), a very pale skin and a huge ego. I know that all to well.

It keeps the ignorant humans away these days.

Walking through the tables I decide to just lean against a wall and drink my own homemade smoothie. I know it's risky, drinking blood in the middle of a school canteen, but I need my drink, otherwise I may lose control and kill everyone at this stupid school. Not that I would care.

I could smell my drink all day long and now I can finially have it. I suck on the thick straw and once the blood reaches my taste buds I'm in a state of euphoria. It tastes like sunshine, mixed with the greatest smoothie on earth.

Anyhow, my thoughts of how much I love drinking blood are interrupted by a loud 'hey'. I open my eyes and see blue-eyes waving at me. he's sitting with some other dudes I've never seen. They seem irritated by their friend who is calling me, the weird new girl, over. I smile and walk towards them, a bit tired of being alone.

"s'up blue eyes" I smile at him. "h-hey... guys this is...." "Onyx" I smile. "that's an unusual name" A boy with bright, red hair groans. "maybe because I'm an unusual girl" I wink at him in all confidence but he doesen't seem the slightest impressed. "these guys are, Ashton" Blue-eyes points at a boy whose on his phone with a frown. He wears a red bandanna that fails to tame his dirty-blonde, curly hair. "Michael" The redhead smirks at me. "And this is Calum" a boy with brown eyes smiles politely and I smile back.

"So what do you have next?" Luke asks with a smile. "History" I groan. It's my best subject, because I was there most of the time. "Calum has history too!" Luke cheers. "You guys can go together" "yeah, maybe" I mutter grabbing my cup and taking a sip from my blood.

"What's that? It smells awful" Calum groans. I look up, suprised. Only vampires can smell blood from a distance. "You can smell this?" I ask him with a frown. "Yeah, can't you?" He asks. I shake my head, lying to him. "What is it then?" Michael asks. Blood. "I have a strange sirup addiction" I chuckle. "You really are something different, aren't you?" Luke chuckles. I just nod my head and turn to the boy who hasn't spoken a word

"Ashton was it?" I say earning the curly head's attention. He just nods while his gaze burns into mine. "How are you?" I sigh, wanting to know more about the humans I will spend most of my time at school with. "he doesn't talk much" Luke whispers. "Luke, I'm sure he didn't lose his tongue" I pat his unclothed knee wich is sticking out of the hole in his tight skinny jeans. "I'm fine, thank you" Ashton says, eying me up and down.

The bell rings and we all stand up.

"Walk with me?" I ask Calum with a pout. "ofcourse" he chuckles while I lace my arm with his. "bye" I ruffle Luke's perfectly styled hair and walk away, pulling Calum with me.

"you feel really cold" Calum mutters while walking through the hallway. "It's a good thing you're so hot" I flirt, making him chuckle. I didn't lie though. Calum is very hot, and not just in the attractive way but his skin feels like it's bruning into mine. He smells funny too, but I have smelled it before.

"what is your full name Calum?" I blurt out, curious since I need to have a explanation for the smell, and body heat. "Calum Thomas Hood, you?" "Onyx Properzia" I awnser him shocked. "cool, Italian huh?" Calum says while we enter the classroom. He takes his seat next to me.

I stare at the blackboard, completely in shock.
