12| Friend Night

A week has passed since Taehyung's invasion of Noel, and things between them were more quiet. Unaware of Taehyung's shame of what he did, Noel missed her best friend.

Instead of going over to Jin's like she planned, she canceled and stayed home to have a day with Taehyung once he returned from the gym. While he was out, Noel decided she would order tons of food and set up for them to watch their favorite horror movies. She smiled, looking forward to her friend night with him.

Taehyung arrived home at the time Noel walked out of her room.

Noel gulped as she ogled his bronzed features contrasted in his white T-shirt and a black headband, pushing his raven locks away from his forehead.

Taehyung's heart stop at the sight of the cropped white shirt and leggings that outlined her beautifully curved figure.

She smiled at him. "Hey!"

Her smiled melted him and made him miss his best friend. "Hey sweetheart."

She wasn't sure why, but she ran up and hugged him ever so tight. Taehyung welcomes her embrace and gave her the comfort that she needed because he needed it as well. "I miss you Tae Tae and I'm sorry I neglected you." She mumbled into his broad chest.

"I miss you too, sweetheart." He kissed the top of her head as he admitted. And I'm sorry for what I did. He thought.

Noel pulled away from him and smiled. "How was your workout?"

"Good. Much needed." He nodded.

"Good!" she exclaimed. "Um, so do you have plans for the rest of the day?"

Taehyung pursed his lips, curious about this. "I wanted to do some work later, but that's it."

"Great! We are having a friend night!" She exclaimed.

Taehyung nervously rubbed his fingers on the side of his face. "Friend night?"

Noel smiled widely. "Yes, a night where we hang out and catch up. I'll order our favorite take out!"

Taehyung grinned as he leaned in and kissed her cheek. "Okay. Let me clean up and I'll see you soon."

After a hot shower, Taehyung threw on something comfortable and headed into the living room to find Noel coming back from the kitchen with a bottle of wine and two wine glasses in hand. Taehyung glanced at the bottle and lifted a brow to Noel. "What? Do you want a coke instead?" She asked.

Taehyung took the wine and the glasses from her. "This is perfect."

Noel smiled as they made their way to the sofa. Taehyung blushed at the all the food in front of them. "You got all this for us?"

Noel shrugged. "We have a lot to catch up on. It's my fault, really."

Taehyung frowned. "What do you mean?"

Noel cleared her throat as she attempted to speak. "I think I may have overreacted that night Joon was here. I took your affection as something else and I'm sorry about that."

A sudden ache struck Taehyung. After witnessing her whisper, he knew Noel wasn't truthful, but he figured maybe she didn't want to admit that she was aware of his actions yet. Taehyung placed the bottle and glasses down on the table before them. There was so much he wanted to say, but more of what he wanted to do.

His continued struggle of wanting to explore these feelings he was having for Noel had taken over and now willing to risk everything and he was sure after what he heard, she wouldn't reject him so easily. There was obviously something hidden with her, too. He pulled Noel closer to him, whose heart raced. "It's okay Elle." He smiled in order to mask his lie. "I haven't thought about it once."

Noel felt a mild relief but couldn't shake the notion that he was hiding a truth as well. She didn't want to push it and just wanted to enjoy the night. "Good! So, let's eat, drink and watch some horror!" Noel grinned as she tapped Taehyung on his nose.
