"Mr. Kim, Sir, your two o'clock is here."

"Thank you, Hoseok."

Taehyung sighed before clearing his throat and preparing himself for his appointment. His thoughts were unstable and ran chaotic with fear since he and Noel have argued. It's been days, and she has not spoken to him since they traded hurtful words to each other. Taehyung's heart skipped with every playback as he wished he could turn the hands of time to before the argument even more to all the moments when he should have been honest with himself about realizations he's hidden, haunting his present and tugged him between a state of wonder and fright.

The knock on his door jarred him to reality. He stood up from his desk and adjusted his tie and suit coat. "Come in." His heavy voice bellowed the utmost professional manner. The door swung open, and Taehyung's eyes met a pair of anxious, unexpected ones, tapered with mild deceit. This wasn't a meeting he prepared for.

"Mr. Kim, may I close your door?" The gentleman asked.

Taehyung gritted but gestured his hand forward, pointing to the chair before him, cutting his stare away as he took his seat. He leaned back in his comfort, arms folded while allowing his professional demeanor to play. "What can I do for you Mr. Park?" Taehyung inquired while holding steady eye contact.

Jimin gulped before speaking. "You said you didn't want to see me, but I can't accept that. I'm here for redemption. I want to clear the air and beg for your forgiveness." Jimin's now profound stare shifted, hoping his friend heard the sincerity in his words. An intense reverb of silence hung in the air like an overcast before a torrential downpour.

Taehyung's solem face held a stillness unnerving to Jimin, but defeat was not in his plans. He was determined to make amends with his long-time friend.

Jimin's tongue passed slowly between his lips before he spoke once more. "You need to know what happened should have never happened. We were drunk and emotional but that still doesn't excuse it." Jimin saw Taehyung's lips slightly quiver.

With every breath Taehyung took, it pricked his heart from the pain caused by his ex and his friend. Flashbacks replayed, though now dimmed-it could never dismiss the pain.

Jimin's heart ached seeing his friend attempt to hold in his feelings, but this encouraged him to continue his apology. "Taehyung, I've known you since we were kids. We've been through a lot together and have always been there for each other. What I did was wrong and I'm sorry. I don't want to lose you, Taehyung. You're my brother. My best friend. I love you. Please find it in your heart to forgive me." Jimin pleaded.

Taehyung's stare now blinded by the stinging tears flowing from his eyes. "It's a betrayal Jimin. A duplicitous act you engaged in citing alcohol as your weakness." A small sniffle set a pause between his words, followed by a heavy sigh.

Allowing his arms to fall from him, Taehyung pushed his chair back and stood up from behind his desk to walk over to Jimin. He would forgive him and in order to close the Jungkook chapter of his life. This would be one of the first steps to take.

He held out his hand to Jimin, offering a handshake as a start of reconciliation.

Jimin eyed Taehyung's deed of willingness as he stood up to face him, gleaming internally he's broken through to his friend, but a handshake would not be enough. He placed his hand into Taehyung's and, in a blink, pulled him into an embrace, holding him tight to hide the tears he no longer sustained.

A low sob broke out from Taehyung as he buried his sorrow into the hug. Being reunited with his friend is only part of the emotion that battled inside him. Jimin sensed this as well. "I love you Taehyung and I want the best for you because you deserve nothing less." Jimin murmured as he eased away, bearing witness to the distraught of his friend. He rested his hands on his forearms. "Taehyung, look at me."

Jimin's gaze bridged Taehyung's dismal stare. "The best you deserve is Noel. You love her and it's more than you believed it to be despite of what you've suppressed."

Taehyung nodded in agreement.

"If she makes you happy, you need to tell her. If you're in love with her, she needs to know." Jimin concluded.

"I know..." Taehyung replied lowly. "But I said some horrible things to her."

"Then apologize. Beg, grovel, do what you have to do, but don't you dare lose her. I see how much she loves you. She is what you need." Jimin smiled at Taehyung. "Don't let her go."
