"Wait do you mean?" I asked

My mom shushed me.

"Go to bed." Makayla said.

I rolled my eyes and went to my room. I took a shower and thought about what just happened. They've got to be kidding. Or is it true? I got my phone and looked at my text messages as a distraction.

Terrence texted me. I got butterflies.

Terrence: How about I take you to get breakfast in the morning?

Me: Sounds great cant wait. 🥰

I saw Jabez name pop up as I was typing.

Jabez: i just got my tv. It's litty like a titty.

I rolled my eyes.

Me: k.

Jabez: why so dry?

Me: You act like I give a fuck stop texting and text Diamond you fucking hoe.

I rolled my eyes. I put my phone down. "I need to change my number"

Aria walked in my room. "They're being so weird. It's annoying."

I felt awkward seeing her. I know it may not be true but if it is...this is mind blowing.

"Are you okay? The whole family?! Lord Jesus!"

"No I'm good. Just sleepy."

Aria frowned.

"Seriously Aria. I'm ready to go to bed."

Aria was silent.

"Get some rest." I said.

Aria rolled her eyes. "Can I sleep in here?"

"Uhh..sure." I said grabbing my pillows.

Aria went to get her blankets and pillows. She came back around 5 minutes later.

"Mom is passed out."

"Where dad?" I froze.

"Um he's-"

"I meant my dad. I mean like...yeah."

"I got what you meant. He's laying with her on the couch."

My phone buzzed. Aria grabbed it and smiled.

"Ooh Terrence..the boy from the party?"

"Yeah." I grinned. "What'd he say?"

"He said perfect. Good night beautiful." Aria said which made me smile harder.

"Awe that's so cute!!" Aria said.

"He's so sweet."

"He seems like a keeper already."

I rolled my eyes. "You said Jabez was."

"Forget Jabez."

"How can I forget him when I have to live with the nigga?" I asked.

*The next morning*

I woke up and looked at my phone.  It was 12:45 pm.

"Oh shit!"

4 missed calls from Terrence

"Awl man." I said.

"What's...wrong?" Aria said yawning.

"I over slept." I said.

"Oh dang." Aria said.

I got up and took a shower. Ari came in the bathroom.
