"So what are you gonna do?" Jabez asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I mean since you're a free woman."

I rolled my eyes. "Not yet. We have to go back to court."

"Yeah in a month they know you're innocent."

"Yeah but it's still scary."

He nodded. "Wanna go get horchata?"

"No."

"Why not?"

My phone buzzed. I shrugged then looked at my phone. It was Terrence. He texted "Like seriously?"

"What's wrong?"

"Terrence texted me."

"What he's saying?" Jabez asked.

I shrugged making Jabez roll his eyes. He took my phone and looked. "Thanks dad." I said. Jabez laughed then scrolled. "He been texting you since we were in Cali?"

I nodded.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Jabez asked.

"I don't know..I thought he's take a hint." I said grabbing the remote. "I'm gonna put on Keeping up with the Kardashians is that fine?" I asked.

"I don't care Asia. Do I need to handle him?"

"No! Everything's gonna be fine." I said.

"It's not if he's texting you."

"Has Diamond texted you?" I asked.

He looked down. I lifted his face. "Jabez?!" I said. "What?!" He asked. "You really gotta mad at me when she's texting you?" He nodded. "The only reason I didn't tell you is because I didn't wanna worry you. I can handle Diamond."

I rolled my eyes. "What did she say?"

"She was just wondering where I've been."

"Same with Terrence." I said.

"I see." Jabez said.

"Maybe we should move?"

"Or get a restraining order?" Jabez said.

"And all those gang members?" I asked.

"I guess. Shit witness protection."

"What are we a witness of?" I asked. "We have no evidence."

"The texts. The black mailing."

"Okay but Diamond has a whole side of her family on that gang shit. It's hella of them." I said.

Jabez sighed. "What can we do?"

I shrugged. "Speaking of restraining orders, Devyn is apparently filing one on me. So I probably can't go on your tours."

"Wow. She's crazy. I was thinking about doing one with Don,Dre and Tommy."

"Like a 4k1k thing?" I asked.I got up and sat on his lap. He put his arm around me. "Yes something like that." He kissed me. "What about school?" I asked. He looked at me. "I was thinking about not going?" I looked at him. "What??" I asked. "Yeah because I wanna entertain people. Maybe go stay in Cali."

I got up. "What about basketball."

"I can always get back to it." He said.

"What about the scholarship? Your friends and family?" I asked. I looked down. "What about me?"

"Asia..you can come with me. That scholarship is for anywhere."

I shook my head. "I don't wanna move."

"Well I do." He said.

"To get away from Diamond? That's a bitch move." I said walking to my room. I closed my door and locked it. Jabez banged on it. "Cmon Asia."

"How do you wanna be with me but wanna move?" I yelled.

"I wanna be with you. I just want us to be safe!"

"We can be safe here." I said sitting on my bed.

"Can you please let me in?" He asked.

"No." I said gagging.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Mm...mm." I said. I ran to the small trash can and threw up.

"Asia open up." He said.

I opened the door.

"Are you okay?" He asked. I shook my head and went to the bathroom. I threw up again. "Damn what did you eat?" He asked.

"I ate that spaghetti in the fridge." I said.

"I told you that shit was bad."

"Hey I can cook!"

"Ehh-"

"Shut the fuck up." I said laughing.

I got some mouth wash and rinsed my mouth. "I think this Terrence shit is actually stressing me out. I have a headache." I said. He walked me back to my room. "Just relax. That's why I wanna move. For our safety." I nodded. "Can you get me a tums or something." Jabez got me some meds and laid by me.
