Starting Over

Honeymoon

We're going to Hawaii today.

Me and Natalie decided that we would take the kids with us because they are fully and entirely part of our relationship.

We got two days to ourselves in the large hotel room I had gotten for us.

And now we would be on a private beach on island of Hawai'i

Enjoying our family.

It's 3 am here in Cali and we're in the airport.

Quinn is in his car seat, happily playing with Natalie. He's almost a year now which is insane.

I'm holding Aria she's fast asleep, I was about to be too.

She's like a mini heater.

Natalie pulled Quinn out and kissed his face.

"Dada." He whispered, pointing at me.

I smiled sleepily.

"Hi bubba."

He gave me a big smile showing off his two bottom teeth, his fingers in his mouth.

Natalie ran her fingers through Arias hair.

She had a rough night.

"I'm so excited." Natalie whispered.

I kissed her.

"Me too baby."

An hour later we were boarding onto our plane.

"Daddy?"

"Yes princess?"

It was actually a pretty heartbreaking day when she stopped calling me dada and started calling me daddy.

I wouldn't be looking forward to the day she starts calling me dad.

"We go soon?"

I nodded and handed her the iPad, Natalie set Quinn beside her, and we paired their headphones and put on a movie for them.

I turned to Natalie and smiled.

"I'm so excited!" She leaned over and I kissed her.

"Aren't you?"

"Of course" I laughed and glanced down at our babies.

"Are we gonna have anymore of these?"

She shrugged and looked down.

"Do you want more?"

"I guess I haven't really thought about it.. our lives have been pretty crazy the last year, with Quinn being born, and the wedding.."

She nodded and brushed her fingers through Quinn's hair.

He looked up at her with a cheesy smile.

"Hi mama!"

"Hi Quinny." She pulled his headphones off as he climbed into her lap.

He had a very short attention span.

He was crawling all over her and grabbing her face and hair, Aria shoved his headphones to me so I could watch with her.

"Woana daddy." She started matter of factly as I slipped the too small headphones on.

They ended up asleep pretty fast.

And a couple hours later we were in Hawaii.

Aria was siked to get a lai.

She squealed.

"Like Woana daddy!!" She went up on her tippy toes and pulled on the flowers.

"Just like moana peanut." I smiled at her and turned to Nat and she had a knowing smile.
