(A/N: This hurt to write 💔)
A bright flash of lightning, followed by a ridiculously loud crash of thunder, caused you to stumble back slightly in fright. A vicious storm had started outside, and Andy wasn't back yet. Ever since he left, some of his toys with him, you had been waiting by the window ever since. This was mostly due to the fact that Woody was one of the toys he had taken with him, and you couldn't wait to see him since he had been gone for so long.
"Whoa! It's raining cats and dogs out there!" Jessie exclaimed, prompted by the loud thunder and heavy rains outside. She patted Bullseye comfortingly, who was a little afraid. "I hope they make it back alright."
"Heads up! Andy's coming!" Hamm yelled from beside you as the van pulled into the driveway. Andy instantly burst out, rushing towards the house with his box of toys in his hands.
You gasped, rushing back over to your pedestal to resume your dormant toy position. Andy's other toys followed suit just before the child came bursting into his room. He quickly dumped his toys out of the box and onto his bed. He was soaked from the very heavy rain.
"Andy! Time for dinner." His mother called from downstairs.
"Yes!" Andy cheered. "I'm starving!"
"Don't forget to wash your hands!"
"Okay Mom!" He called just before leaving his room, shutting the door right behind him.
You smiled when you looked over at your friends that had just come home, but when you saw them spring to life with panicked expressions, you grew concerned. Woody ran over to the desk, rushing right past you as he dashed to the window. He looked outside in a frenzy.
"Do you see him?" Buzz asked from on the ground.
"No." Woody replied shortly.
"Well, he's done for." Slinky replied.
"He'll be lost! Forever!" Rex cried out in fear.
"Jessie. Buzz. Slink. Molly's room." Woody ordered quickly. "The rest of you, stay put."
"Woody, what's going on?" You asked with worry and confusion.
"RC needs help. Now stay put!" He leaped off the desk and went rushing out into the halls with Jessie, Buzz, and Slinky following hot on his trail.
"Oh no...." You murmured, a hand coming up to your mouth in a soft recoil. Rushing over to the window, you decided to keep an eye outside in case RC came into view on your side of the house.
"What's going on?" Mrs. Potato Head asked out, awaiting an answer from just about anyone.
"RC is outside somewhere." You replied, still observing the front lawn outside. "We have to find him soon. If we don't, he might get carried away by the rain if he isn't in a safe spot."
A few moments passed, and there was still no sign of RC. Woody and the others hadn't come back yet either. Yet when they eventually did come back, Woody wasn't with them. When Andy's mom came into the room, she only held Jessie, Buzz, and Slinky in her hands.
The second she left after putting them on Andy's bed, you noticed your friends slowly come back to life, unbearable looks of shock on their faces and sadness tugging at their defeated frowns. "Guys! Where's Woody?"
Jessie, unable to deal with whatever devastating blow she had just witnessed, crumpled to her knees next to Bullseye. Buzz slowly turned to look at you with a pained expression. "It's not just Woody you should be worried about." He told you quietly.
You were about to question further, but you heard Andy's panicked voice yelling outside. "Mom, where's Woody?"
"Andy! Come inside!" His mother ordered. You ran back to the window to see him frantically searching the front lawn, almost ready to get on his hands and knees.
