Life just wasn't the same anymore. In all honesty, it simply couldn't be. The one thing that was truly impossible. Every day was the same, the world seemed to shrink, and there was a loss of a particular light. And with its absence, life seemed a tad more dull, slightly less exciting. There was so much yet so little left. It was as if everything had changed completely, all merging together to form one new reality that was missing essence. A strange maze of repetition.

Watching the RV drive away had been excruciatingly hard. He simply didn't know how to feel, knowing that one life was slowly disappearing from sight as a new one started to form right beside him. Even with Bo's reassuring smile, something just didn't feel right. The sad farewells that had just been given tugged at his heartstrings, and the tugging seemed to grow more intense with each spin of the RV's wheels as it strolled down the road in the completely opposite direction.

His new friends, his new family, did try to build confidence within him, however. He agreed to help them out with their new goal. Why make kids happy by repeatedly letting yourself be handed down the line when you could make them just as happy by giving other toys their chance? With that mindset shared amongst the group, the carnival gang made their way to the various rigged booths and helped distribute the toys when nobody was looking. Seeing the bright smiles of millions of kids, and seeing the utter joy from the toys as they finally got homes, it really warmed his heart.

But it wasn't able to warm it enough. Of course it was Bo who noticed his struggle and made the most effort to cheer him up, but he could tell that she was going through her own conflicts with what had happened just the same. He didn't know what, couldn't tell at all, but he didn't dare ask. She was the love of his life, and he was hers, so he didn't want to upset her and ruin the relationship they had growing over it. So instead, he never said a word and tried to bottle everything up. All of the emotions, and all of the questions. All forced to remain silent.

That didn't suppress the fact that, deep down, he knew that fact was off. To be the love of her life, and to be the love of his life in return? It was a concept that used to roll off his tongue with ease, something he treasured greatly and always held close. However, concepts change, as do dreams and hearts as time ticks by and life goes on. His relationship with Bo had been true as could be back when Andy and Molly kept her under their roof, but once she left and he slowly moved on, the concept did, indeed, change.

The longer Bo had been away, the more the connection between his heart and hers had thinned. It continued to stretch more and more, his heart calling louder and louder. And eventually, the connection finally snapped completely. No more stretching, no more calling. The memories and warmth remained, but the overall beat had disappeared. Instead, his heart slowly seemed to awaken further as it realized another door was open, and it began to call into the new light for something new.

His heart yearned for another, a close friend who had been right by his side for a long while. Not as long as Bo, but surely through more of his darker times and dire troubles than she. Through thick and thin, this new entity had always been right there beside him, and his heart slowly began to take notice. His heart managed to form a new connection with this other's heart, but something was different. For some reason, the hearts were at conflict and their relationships bore strain. It was as if a wall had been placed between his heart and hers, a strong one that would take quite some time to break down.

But he noticed that both he and the other actually started to get to work on doing so, and they were gradually making progress. The connection grew stronger with each chip of the boundary, and the callings became louder as more warmth began to flood past the barrier. Yet still, something wasn't working as well as it should've. As his heart continued to call out, he did notice that the other's heart called out as well on occasion. But something was wrong, and the wall couldn't be broken down completely.
