"Buzz!" Woody yelled as everyone came running out of the dark corridor. The Space Ranger was unconscious, suspended in the air by an upward spiral of a darkness and shadow vortex. The Xehanort stood a ways in front of it, calmly yet eagerly awaiting the moments to come.
"Xehanort!" Sora growled as he laid eyes on the cloaked man who bore a straight face.
"What do you want with my friend?" Woody demanded, slowly walking closer.
"Look...." The Xehanort sneered as he looked over his shoulder at Buzz. "Such tremendous darkness. All because he was ripped away from the boy who cares about him most."
You gasped as a large tide of shadows began to appear before you, encircling you and your friends in a dark, suffocating barrier. "Does that mean....we'll all be like Buzz?" You whispered as a frown pulled at your face. "If we don't find Andy?" The darkness began creeping closer to you, slowly starting to crawl up your legs.
"Wrong!" Sora's voice boomed. "Distance doesn't matter! Andy's part of Thier hearts, just like my friends are part of mine." Donald and Goofy nodded in sync as the boy finished, "You can't rip that apart!"
Woody gasped at his words, and you watched as he lifted his boot to look at Andy's name, crudely scrawled onto the bottom of his foot. He then cast his gaze towards Buzz, eyeing the child's name on the Space Ranger's foot as well.
"What?" The Xehanort growled as the shadows around Buzz quickened, growing stronger as they began to carry him further into the dark sky. "Your friends are your power? Ah.... How very true." He took a small step closer, giving the ground shadows more strength as they began to swirl faster. "But if the light of friendship is a form of power, the darkness of being alone is a power even greater!"
The Xehanort cast his gaze towards you, his bright golden eyes piercing right through yours. "Darkness is the heart's true nature." He purred through his smirk.
You watched Woody place his hand on Sora's shoulder as he stepped forward. "Whatever you're talking about, I don't care!" He growled, then waved his hand dismissively at the Xehanort. "Put Buzz back the way he was, then get lost!"
"Or else what, toy?" The Xehanort smirked in amusement.
"Yeah, I am a toy. And a friend!" Woody gave a bright smile of determination. He stepped forward harshly onto the swirling shadows hovering above the ground, the stomp of his foot pushing away the darkness with a force of light that the cowboy created. "My guess is no one's ever loved you before, because you know nothing about hearts and love!"
Sora then stepped forward, standing right alongside the cowboy. "There are hearts all around us, trying to connect." The two began to step in sync, their light pushing away more shadows with every step they took. "Your 'loneliness' only made the connection between Woody, Buzz, and (Y/N) stronger. That's the heart's true nature! To never, ever let go!"
"Wherever they are," he continued as the two put their steps on hold, "Andy and the other toys haven't let go either!"
"Yeah! You can't keep us from Andy!" Woody spat in agreement. "We're going home, no matter what! And taking Buzz!" As you stayed behind with Donald and Goofy, you watched as Sora and Woody were quickly hidden from view by a thick veils of shadows.
"Xehanort, you're so caught up in finding the shadows, you forgot about the light that cast them." Sora spoke up, his voice easily breaking through the hissing barrier of shadows around him. The darkness around him vanished, instead being broken through by a pulse of light that the boy cast. It flurried across the ground, flying right underneath the Xehanort's feet and up the spiral that held Buzz suspended in air.
