"Oh my babies made it." My mom pulled me and the girls into a hug. "I missed y'all so much."
I hugged my mom tight as I embraced her hug. "We missed you too mom." I smiled at her.
"I have the guest room all cleaned up for y'all." She cheered. "Where's August?" My mom furrowed an eyebrow.
I gulped. "He'll be here soon, he had a radio interview." I bit my bottom lip as I tucked my hair behind my ear. August has a show tonight so he's been running around for radio interviews. I'm kind of glad he has a show here tonight because that gives him an excuse to be here for the funeral tomorrow.
"Oh okay." My mom locked the front door behind us. "Are y'all hungry? thirsty? You know mama's fridge stay stacked."
I chuckled. "I could use some water, my mouth is really dry."
My mom folded her arms. "Don't act brand new, you know where everything is."
I playfully rolled my eyes as I went to the fridge to grab a water bottle. I popped the cap off and took a big gulp. I love me some ice cold water, especially when you're really thirsty.
The girls followed my mom around the kitchen. "Grandma can we help you bake cookies?" McKayla asked.
"Of course sweetie, we can bake them before we go to the viewing tonight. Alright?"
Kayla nodded her head.
"What's a viewing?" Kenzie asked.
My mom looked over at me and I shrugged my shoulders. I honestly don't think it's a good idea for the girls to go to the viewing. To be honest I hate viewings they are worst then funerals to me. It's like everyone are chilling around a dead body when really everyone is grieving.
"Mom can I speak to you for a second?" I asked.
"Sure honey, Girls I'll be right back so we can get started on those cookies don't touch anything." My mom sternly said.
My mom walked over with a huge grin on her face. "What's up baby?"
I rested my arm on the banister. "Mom, I don't think it's a good idea for the girls to go to the viewing."
My mom nodded her head. "That's fine sweetie, I agree with you. I honestly don't thik they should go to the funeral neither. Where are you going to take them?"
"I'll ask Chandra can she watch them."
My mom nodded her head. "Okay sweetie."
August
I just left a radio interview. I stretched before I hopped in the truck. My Chauffeur is now taking me to my moms house. I ain't even tell them I was coming forreal, I wanted it to be a surprise. I love living out in Cali, but I miss my family more than anything man.
I laid back and rested in the backseat until my phone started ringing. I grabbed my phone out my pocket and answered. A smile appeared on my face once I heard Jewel's voice.
