Jayla.

I made it in the house to see the place a mess. Cups on the floor, alcohol bottles thrown everywhere, and trash on my brand new sofa.

"Asia!" I screamed.

Asia ran down the steps like nothing ever happened.

"What mom?" She slid her beats around her neck.

"Don't you what me! Clean this got damn mess up. You're to damn old to be throwing house parties in here. After you finished go pick up Autumn from dance class." I demanded.

Asia sucked her teeth as she began to clean up.

"Drop the attitude, you aren't to old to get your ass beat."

Asia mumbled something under her breath; obviously something smart. I'm glad I didn't hear it because if I did she would've regretted it.

Asia.

After I finished cleaning up the mess I made. I headed to Ballet Academy to pick my daughter up from dance class. August the daddy & he don't even know it. My mom told me Aunt Jewel works with her. I bet she don't even know I'm her niece. Besides it's obvious fate brung me and August together, I'm going to get my man. I'll do anything to get him.

My mom is so stuck-up, i get some of my ways from her. She has gotten a lot better, but she still has some of her snooty ways. A lady named Alana adopted me when I was a kid but when I gotten older I started to realize she wasn't my real mom, mama Lucy helped my real mom 'Jayla' get custody of me.

"Mommy!" Autumn ran towards me as I made my way into the studio.

"Hey my little fairy." I kissed her cheek.

I picked Autumn up & held her on my hip as I signed her out.

"How was dance?" I asked as we headed to my car.

"It was really fun mommy! I learned how to point my toe & more spins!" She excitedly cheered.

I smiled just seeing her smile made me smile, there's no denying this is August's child.

Jewel.

I stirred the ground beef in the pan. I'm fixing Taco's for dinner. Mckayla spinned around in the kitchen stool.

"Kayla stop before you hurt yourself sweetie."

Mckayla quickly stopped spinning. I'm so glad Kayla isn't hardheaded, she's a good child. Don't get me wrong some times I'll have to get in her butt when she slips up every once in awhile.

"What are you fixing mommy?"

"Taco's, are you hungry?" I added some shredded cheese, cherry tomatoes, and salsa. I don't add to much to my taco's.

"Yes, I haven't eat since lunch at school." Kayla rubbed her tummy.

"You mean ate honey." I corrected her. "My poor buttercup." I fixed her a taco. I made sure I gave her a soft shell, Mckayla hates hard taco shells.

"Go wash your hands buttercup." I picked her up from the kitchen stool and she ran towards the bathroom.

I heard the front door open and loud laughing signaling me that August has company.

"What shawty in there cooking it smell good." I rolled my eyes, I know exactly who's voice that is.

August, Trey, and Chris walked in the kitchen.

"Uncle Chris." Kayla ran towards Chris and he picked her up kissing her forehead.

"Aye light bright."

"I didn't know we were having company." I sat the spatula down on the counter.

"My bad baby, I invited the boys over for a meeting we gotta talk sum' business."

I furrowed an eyebrow.

"What kind of business?"

Trey and Chris side eyed eachother. "You ain't tell her yung?" Trey asked.

I folded my arms staring at August wondering what in the hell he's hiding from me.

"We'll talk later baby." He pecked my cheek.

"Whatever Aug." I rolled my eyes. "Chris when did you get in town? Y'all know y'all are welcomed to have dinner."

"Last night, Ciara was going to come but Christian caught a cold. She ain't want to bring him out."

I nodded my head as Trey walked over to hug me. "How you doing Jewel?" The scent of his cologne lingered in the air towards my nose.

"I'm good Trey." I smiled pulling out of the hug.

"Is it me, or every time I see you, you look younger."

I chuckled as I playfully hit his arm. "You a damn fool."

"Ooooh mommy said a bad word." Mckayla failed to whisper to August.

"Mommy's sorry. Kayla let's go upstairs and find a movie to watch while your daddy 'talk' grown folks business with his friends." I made sure I emphasized 'talk' because clearly we need to talk too.

Kayla grabbed my hand and we walked upstairs to her room. "What movie you want to watch buttercup?" I asked.

"Cinderella." Kayla squealed.

I rolled my eyes as I slid in the Cinderella movie in Mckayla's barbie dvd player. I swear we've watched this movie over 50 times and she seems to never get tired of this damn movie.

I sat down on Mckayla's pink beanie chair and she plopped between my legs layin' her head back on my tummy. I wrapped my arms around her tiny body. I couldn't be more happy, this little girl gives me so much pride. Sometimes I want to tell her about Kenzie, but I can't. August and I already discussed this situation. We decided on letting things happen naturally which means when we find Mckenzie that's when Mckayla will find out she has a sister.

I sighed as I played in Kayla's long curly hair. She obviously get the curly hair from August, because I have straight hair; she gets the length from me though.

"Buttercup." I kissed her forehead.

"Yes mommy?" She didn't take her eyes off the t.v.

"How do you feel about dancing?"

Kayla looked back at me. "What kind of dancing?"

"Like ballet, would you like to take a ballet class?"

She nodded her head. "Ballet is when the girls have a bun in there hair and dance like this?" She got up to demonstrate what she seen before.

I chuckled. "Yes sweetie, I think you'd be a beautiful ballerina."

"I want to do it then!" She cheesed as she sat back between my legs.

"I'm going to go get us some snacks you stay put." I kissed her forehead.

She nodded her head. I know Mckayla is to into the movie to get distracted and wander off. I headed downstairs as I heard August, Trey, and Chris talkin'. I know I shouldn't be eavesdropping, but I'm curious on what kind of business these three are actually talkin' bout.

"Man I'm thinkin' bout gettin' big booty bitches for my back up dancers." Trey bluntly said.

Chris died of laughter, while August stared off to space.

"What bout you yungin'?" Trey asked.

Aug shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know man. I don't really want any backup dancers. I wish I could take my fam on tour with me. That's all I really want."

I covered my face suckin' in my tears. I knew it was coming sooner or later. It's not that I don't trust August, it's just all that we are going through with our missing daughter and me handling Kayla while he's away is going to add more onto my plate. I'm not going to ruin his dreams, at the end of the day I know he's only trying to provide for his family by doing what he loves to do.
