As the first-year students headed to their work studies, a new teacher had been assigned to all three grade levels of the hero course.

"I am glad you have accepted the offer. I am sure that you will nourish our student's knowledge greatly. You will teach miscellaneous lessons, we will call your subject Independent Studies. More than anything I want you to give the students the perspective of someone who did not follow the regular hero pathway and allow them to explore their interests. I think they deserve to learn from people with different backgrounds and develop their own identities. At UA we pride in giving the students a wholesome curriculum" said the principal as he hopped on his chair.

"Principal Nezu, I have to go back to the Northern Region and take care of some unfinished affairs. It won't be more than a couple of days. I used to have a life over there, and it is only fair I give it closure" said Escarlata.

"Take the time you need. You have time to prepare as the students will still be taking on their work studies. Let me know when you are planning to return and I will have your room ready. I will notify the faculty of the new fantastic addition to our school" said Nezu.

"Thank you principal Nezu. I appreciate the trust you have bestowed upon me. I will prepare those young heroes, just as you and UA prepared me. I will see you soon!" said Escarlata as she walked out of the office.

Meanwhile at the faculty office, Hizashi was more than ready to once more have a friendly chat with Aizawa, or nonsense waste of time, as the latter called their interactions.

"So Aizawa, are you and (Y/N) together now? Has the fairy tale begun? When will I become Uncle Hizashi? I am free to babysit any time before 5am, remember I have to host my radio show" said the blonde as he wiggled his eyebrows.

"That is none of your business..." said Aizawa as he sipped on his coffee.

"After all these years of keeping up with your unrequited love, I think I deserve some insight into the resolution no? I am your number one shipper. Besides, everyone has noticed how much jollier you are, relatively speaking. You put cream in your coffee, you haven't complained in days, and Cementoss swears he heard you laugh the other day. After all these years, I think I know you enough to perceive when your mood changes, and let me tell you, there is something making you happy alright!" – Hizashi

"That is incorrect. I am their number one shipper" said Midnight in the background.

Aizawa sighed. "She is staying with me for now. There is a consensus. And logically, everything else is between me and her" said Aizawa reluctantly as he took the last sip of coffee.

"Good! Wonderful my man! Everything is right with the universe now. I am so happy for you two. We need to celebrate! We should head out for dinner tonight, or even better let's go out with the faculty on Friday! What do you say?" asked Hizashi with his ever-famous finger guns.

"No"

"But come on dude! We were all rooting for you here. Let us share some of your happiness" said Hizashi with tears in his eyes.

Escarlata walked into the office as the two men were interacting.

"Hello you two. I got good news. I accepted Nezu's offer, so you are seeing the new Independent Studies teacher!" said Escarlata as she pointed at herself.

"No way! The family is back together again!" said Hizashi as he hugged both heroes at the same time. "Ok, this we need to celebrate! Drinks on me, tonight! What da ya say?!" asked Hizashi with full on loudness.

"That sounds like a good plan Hizashi, but its gonna have to wait" – (Y/N)

"Yesss! Wait, what? Why?" – Hizashi

"Well, before you interrupted, I said that I was going to take two days off and head over to the Northern Region. I have to finish some business as my transfer was so sudden. The paperwork is already in place, but I mean, I still have an apartment to empty, and other things I have to take care of" said (Y/N).

"Well I suppose our celebration can wait until you come back" said Hizashi as he grabbed his books. "Third period is about begin, I better head out. I know those second years are excited for their quizzes" said the English teacher as he exited the room.

"Do you want me to go with you?" asked Aizawa.

"If you want to come that would be great, but I really want to do this trip by myself. I know that you are worried I might be targeted by the League of Villains, but I assure you they won't catch me off guard again. Plus, don't you have that special investigation going on right now? The one with the Hissaikai group?" asked (Y/N).

"That is right, I was going to postpone the meeting until I came back, but I trust that you will make it back in one piece." – Shota

"Trust me. I will call you when I get there. I am going to the apartment now to pick up some stuff and I'll head over to the coalition" said (Y/N) as she got closer to Shota, guarding that no one else came through the door. She held his face with her hands, and gave him a kiss that expressed how much she would miss him these next two days. She felt his scruffy beard on her lips and thought of how much she would crave that feeling while she was away.

As the train traveled through the northern towns of the country, (Y/N) pondered about the good times she had with her team before they were kidnapped. Even though they did not get to work together often, they all trained together. They were the closest people she had for the past 12 years. How did it come to this? How did I lose those who I considered family so fast? I swear I won't stop until I see that League of Villains destroyed and behind bars. As the train arrived to her town in the Northern Region, she wiped the tears off her face, and proceeded to exit the train. There was a woman selling flowers at the bottom of the steps. The florist's basket departed the station empty as (Y/N) had bought all of the merchandise.

(Y/N) headed over to the Fallen cemetery in the outskirts of the town. Due to her stay in the hospital she was unable to attend her team's funeral, and there wasn't anything in life she regretted more than that. She walked over to the directory of the cemetery, and then headed towards the stone bridge. At the end of the bridge and under a wide and blossoming cherry tree, were four headstones with the insignia of the Independent Hero Coalition. According to the president of the coalition, the fallen heroes were given a high honor ceremony, as they had died in the line of duty. She placed flowers on every headstone.

"You all were the greatest team mates anyone could've asked for. I don't even know what to say to you all. I am devastated... I don't think I will ever be able to recover from your loss"

"You all were an important part of my life for the past 12 years, and the work of a group of villains ruined everything." (Y/N) fell to her knees.

"I promise that as long as I live, I will not rest until I see the League of Villains get a taste of justice. May be by my own hand, perhaps other heroes', but they will go down. I will train the heroes of tomorrow so they fight with the same courage you all did"

"I know this wasn't my fault, but I feel guilty to be here with all you gone. My purpose will be to avenge your sacrifice!"

She got up on her feet, grabbed her phone, and dialed.

"Detective Tsukauchi, I will be back in a couple of days. Please prepare a file for me. I'm in."
