The sun had begun to peak itself over the horizon. Birds still slumbered as the sky transitioned from hues of blues and purples to a pale pink that briefly transitioned into an even paler red.
But the two lovers hadn't slept yet.
Naraku's silhouette showed itself to be positioned behind Mei, his rhythm in synchronocity with hers.
He pushed forward, she pushed back. Her breath was deep and scattered, his groans were low and purposeful. Over and over and over again.
With a final grunt and a yank of his fistful of hair, Naraku pulled Mei up and left butterfly kisses down the nape of her damp neck and smiled.
"I think," he breathed behind a chuckle "We should rest now." He adjusted himself out of her and dabbed his forehead with a cloth. "I can't say that I've ever been with a demon with so much stamina." He teased, lazily throwing a towel around his chisled lower abdomen. He watched Mei adjust her hair into a messy ponytail, lazily smoothing her wild baby hairs upwards which fell back down to no avail.
Her back was long and slender, an even milky texture and smooth as freshly woven silk. His eyes wandered to her lower back, tracing the passion marks and love bites he placed across her body. His burgundy eyes even caught hint of the spider marking showing more predominantly on her arm.
It amused him so.
So much, that he didn't even notice Mei glancing over her shoulder in curiosity to his awakward silence.
"Just what are you smiling about over there?" she quizzed, her cheeks a flush and her eyebrow raised suspiciously. She wrapped a towel over her upper body and slowly hovered over him as he rested his face in his hand, towel still lazily tossed over his lower abdomen.
Naraku's gaze burned into hers. He broke the silence with a smirk and pulled her down with his large hand into a long tongue-filled kiss. It threw her for a surprise, causing her to lose balance and fall forward with only her elbow breaking the fall. His grip never faltered.
Breaking the kiss, spittle still connecting the two. He chuckled under his breath, as if bemused by her curiousity.
"I think you should run a bath. Before I decide to ravish you again."
Her breath hitched at the statement. How could he comment on her stamina when she was the one struggling to keep up with him! Without a moment to have him reconsider, she gathered herself and rushed to open the sliding tatami doors to the outside baths.
When the water was a comfortably warm temperature, Mei thought to invite Naraku with her. He must've been so fatigued, a good bath would do the both of them justice.
"Naraku," Mei slid open the door, peeking her head inside. "The bath water is ready. Come jo-" to her surprise, he was gone. The area where they've spent the past few hours was neatly fashioned and his presence wasn't even felt there anymore.
It saddened her. But she was used to it at this point. "Hmm, just don't leave me waiting here for days again.." she murmured to herself, slowly sliding the door back closed. She was beginning to see the skies transition to a pale blue and her body grow wearier by the moment. She anticipated this long sought slumber more than anything!

The dreams began again.
This time, Mei was standing at her father's grave with sword in hand. She was dressed in the traditional black samurai attire that the female warriors wore, her expression hardened and sad. She stared at the large patch of raised dirt, fresh tulips laid on the grave.
She didn't say a word, she couldn't say a word. Matter of fact, she couldn't move!
"Father," she heard herself think, almost outside her body. "Father, I miss you, I wish I could tell you and mother about my life. About my adventures. About.. about Naraku." Her cheeks dampened with cold tears. "I wish.. you were here."
There was a chilling silence in the darkness. The only light reflected onto her father's grave. A dark voice spoke out. It wasn't her father's. it was.. more sinister than that.
"Then join your father in Hell." It spoke. And in an instant, the dark floor split in two and two large hands extended itself out of the hole and grabbed her by the feet. She fought, she tried to scream, she tried to move but couldn't!
"No!" she screamed in her head "No, father, help me, NO!!!"
She was pulled into the ground, the same split closing shut, only to leave her sword behind. A pair of feet walked up to the sword, its pale hand reaching down to grab it with intention of taking it away.
Mei's eyes jolted open as she sat up, her body drenched in sweat. Her heart almost jumped out of her chest when her eyes met Kagura's disdainful gaze. She had just set out rice and steamed fish for her, but her glowering stare never left.
"Rise and shine, princess. It must have been too long since I've seen you, because you look awfully slim." She pointed her fan towards the direction of the food with a bored expression. "Fresh from the river and fresh from the pot, princess." Why was she calling her that?
And where was her sword?
