Right then Lacy came in. I got dressed quickly and started to head out.

"Where are you going?" Lacy asked.

"Jason called and he seemed really sad and asked if we could meet up at the park. So I'll be back. Bye love you." I said leaving.

I got to the park. And I found him sitting on a bench. I sat next to him. He was looking down.

"What's wrong? Whst happened?" I asked.

"I left after you left and when I got home Stephanie was in the kitchen. We got a letter in the mail from the doctor. A letter we've been waiting for. We read it together..." He paused for a second. "It's impossible. We've been trying for a baby and it hasn't been working so we went to the doctor. And apparently neither of us can produce babies." He announced.

"Aw shit. I'm sorry about that dude." I apologized. I really didn't know what to say. "Hey. I can loan you Axel whenever you want." I tried lighten the mood.

"Damnit. How do you make people laugh?" He laughed. I shrugged.

"Then again. Lacy may kill me." I added.

Which made him laugh a little more. After talking for a little while longer I went back home. I walked into the kitchen. Lacy and Sarah were standing in the kitchen at the counter making a list of some sort. I went up behind Lacy and wrapped my arms around her. Resting my chin on her head looking at what they were writing.

"What writing?" I asked.

"A list of how many people are gonna be there." Lacy answered.

"Me, Gabe, Trent, you two, Axel, Jay's friends, Lacy's parents, and Jay's parents." Sarah said the list.

Oh my god. I let go of Lacy and grabbed the list and stood in the middle of the kitchen. I read over the last part a few times. My eyes wide open.

"What's wrong?" Lacy asked.

"No no no. You can't invite my parents. Especially my father. Get them off this list." I declared. Not even looking up.

"We already called them. We actually wanted it to be a surprise but you're too nosey." Sarah responded rolling her eyes a bit.

"Why don't you want them to come? Especially your father?" Lacy added. I took a deep breath.

"Look. If they actually come them I refuse to face them. I refuse to talk to them. I refuse to even look at them." I demanded looking up at them now. Shit shit shit shit shit. "I'll try everything I can to not ruin the party. Even though every little bit of me never wants to see them again." I added.

"I can tell that some conversation you're gonna have doesn't need to be inturpted. So how about Axel comes with me for a few hours." Sarah insisted. She soon left with Axel.

"Why do you hate your parents so much?" She asked.

"My father has put be through so much fucking abusive trauma in my life. And my mom would just watch." I said. She gently touched my arm.

"What type of stuff did he do? You obviously need to get it off your chest. I won't tell a soul. Just tell me. Please." She begged. I took a deep breath. We sat on the couch.

"He'd continually call me worthless and deferential things. When I wouldn't responded he'd call me weak. When I did respond he'd 'punish' me. Once when I was 14 I called him a dick head. So he locked me in the dark basement for 1 and a half days." I answered. Her eyes said horror. "Look. The only other people who know about this is Danny, Jason, and Matt. And it's for a good reason. So please, don't discuss this with anyone. I don't like talking about it. I try to forget about it." I added.
