"We're not stupid. Whatsup? What happened?" Jason insisted.
"I don't wanna talk about it right now." I replied.
They all rolled their eyes. Before we knew it, it was time to leave. We got to the meeting. Bret was already there. This is our last chance. We were all nervous. After way too long of a meeting, the man made his decision.
"You got yourself a record deal." The man announced. Our jaws almost dropped to the floor.
"Holy shit! Thank you!" Danny cheered. After talk and cheering more it was time to go.
"Dudes! We need to celebrate!" Matt insisted.
"Let's go out and party tomorrow!" Danny said.
"You guys can. But I can't." I responded.
"Why?" Jason asked.
"I promised Lacy I'd spend he day with them." I answered.
"Okay, so we'll go out and party!" Danny announced. We all left and went home. I walked in through the door.
"Guess who got a record deal!" I yelled.
"Oh my god! I'm so happy for you guys! Congratulations!" Lacy gasped. Ozzy ran up and started to jump on me.
"What does that mean?" Axel asked. I picked him up and held in in the air above my head.
"That means daddy and the band have a big possibility of being famous!" I answered. I tossed him up and caught him. Lacy hates it when I do that. It always freaks her out.
"Yay!" Axel cheered.
"And for the rest of the day, and half of the day tomorrow daddy will be spending the day with you and mommy!" I added.
His smiled grew bigger. All of ours did. We all sat on the couch. I sat in the middle in between them as they both leaned up against each side of me. I could tell they both missed me. I had a notebook and pen.
"So what do you want to do tomorrow?" I asked. Mostly dissected towards Axel.
"Let's go to the zoo!" He answer excitedly. I wrote down zoo.
"And after the zoo you'll be going with aunt Sarah!" Lacy announced.
"But I don't want to go with aunt Sarah. I want to stay here with you and daddy." Axel pouted. Lacy nudged me to say something.
"You don't want to go and play with Gabe?" I said.
"No. I want to stay here with you guys." He answered crossing his arms.
"Did something happen between you two?" Lacy asked.
"No. I haven't seen daddy in a long time, so I want to spend time with him." He explained. He hugged my arm holding on tight. I looked down.
"Okay. You can stay with us. We can go to the zoo the first half of the day. Then go somewhere else or do something else the other half." I answer.
He smiled. Later that night after he was tucked I got a quick shower. I wrapped the towel around my waist and walked to our room. Lacy was sitting in our bed on her phone. Completely ignoring me. I put on my boxers and brushed my hair as I watched her reflection through the mirror. I sat next to her and started giving her small kisses on the side of her face.
"Stop it Jay." She demanded. So I did
"What's wrong babe?" I asked. She sighed and put her phone down. "Damnit. Is it because I said he can stay with us? In such a fucking idiot."
"No. Its not that. I could never get mad about spending time with Axel. It's just what he said." She answered. We both looked down. We both were beating ourselves up about it. Me mostly.
