"When is this do? When do you have to present this?" I asked.

"Monday." He answered. I took the notebook and pen and flipped to a blank page.

"I'm writing down what you're gonna say. This is exactly what you're gonna say. Nothing else." I insisted.

My dad was in a thrash metal band. My dad found my mom cheating on him with his best friend. My dad ran away with me. Long story short. My mom was a cheating whore. And now I'm here. The end.

I wrote. He couldn't control his laughter.

"I'll be disappointed of you don't say this. And of you do, I'll the you out to ice cream." I said.

"Oh my god. For the first time I can't wait till school." He responded. We laughed for a moment then the mood completely changed back to sad. "Do you speak to any of them anymore?" He asked

"Since then I only speak to Danny occasionally. And seen him twice." I answered. "So you have anything else you want to talk about?"

"This probably isn't the right time. But I'll just say it." He took a deep breath. "I'm dating someone." He announced.

"Really? What's her name?" I asked. He looked down.

"His name is James. I'm gay." He answered. "Please don't be mad." He began to cry.

"Why would I ever be mad? You're my son and that's such a stupid thing to get mad over. Besides. I met James. He seems like a nice boy." He is. They've been friends since they were 9 and I've known him since they were 10. So he's been over a lot. He got up and hugged me then sat back down.

"But you're gonna be mad at me for the next few things I'm about to say." He said looking down. I looked at him. "Whenever I say I'm going to a friends house or staying after school for something I'm really going to his house."

"So? That's not as nearly as bad as bad as what I did when I was your age." I laughed.

"Dad..." His eyes started to water up. "You're gonna not gonna be able to look at me."

"Stop think all that. Now what is it?" I had a feeling what he was gonna say.

"We had sex..." He whispered. He looked up as if he was confused that I'm not mad.

"Why would I get mad at you for doing stuff that I did? When I was your age and my dad was out I'd always call girls over." I said.

He put his fingers in his ears and walked to his room which just made me laugh. I started to think about it. I knocked on Axel's door and walked in. He was at his desk drawing.

"Hey dad. Whatsup?" He greeted.

"I want to ask you a question." I said. He looked at me. "Of I somehow manage to get ahold of your mom. Would you like to talk to her. Like, over the phone or something?"

"Really? Yeah. That'd be really cool. But I wouldn't want to meet her." He responded.

I nodded. I went into the living room and went straight to work. I was gonna get a hold of her. No matter what. I had a notebook and pencil out. I did the first thing I thought of. I called Danny.

"Hey dude! Whatsup!?" He answered. Damn. Why so excited.

"Axel asked about his mom and I told him. I started to think about it and thought it'd be cool of he talked to her on the phone at least. So I called you to asked for her number. Please." I said.

"Of course." He responded.

He then gave me the number. I wrote it down as he said it. We then hung up. I walked into Axel's room again.

"I called Danny and got her number. Do you want to talk to her?" I announced. He shook his head yes. We went into the living room. I dialed the number.
