I couldn't get rid of that lump anymore.  She moved to the couch where I was sitting and running my back.

"I found my wife with my best friend. I quit the band. I ran away quitting my job. I'm a single dad now. Damnit. How am I gonna explain this to Axel. He won't be able to take it. I'm the worst father in history." I cried. She hugged me.

"Jay. You're not a horrible father. Of anything you're the best father. You didn't punch him or do anything to have a bad influence on Axel. And you don't want Axel to be around a cheater, do you?" She continued. "And I can get you a job at my work. You'll do great with the kids. And Axel can come. It'll be great for him."

"Daddy. Why are you crying? And when are we going back home?" Axel asked.

I couldn't even answer. My aunt let go of me and told Axel to come here. Axel stood in front of her. My face was in my hands.

"You'll be staying with me for a little while. And tomorrow you'll be coming to a place where you can make new friends." my aunt said in a voice to try and cheer him up. His lip started to shiver and eyes started to water up. But he wasn't crying. Oh my god.

"But why? And what about Mommy and uncle Jason, Danny, and Matt?" He asked. I took a breath and wiped my eyes on my shirt.

"Would you like something to eat?" my aunt asked trying to change the subject.

Axel nodded. She stood up and held Axel's hand to take him to the kitchen. She looked at me.

"Would you like something to eat dear?" She asked me.

"No thank you. I can't eat right now." I responded shaking my head no.

Her and Axel went into the kitchen. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I had a gut feeling who it was. I looked at it. I was right. It was Lacy. Damn. I have so many missed calls. Everyone called me. Danny, Matt, Jason, and Lacy. I'll get Lacy our of the way. I walked to the guest bedroom. I called her.

"What the hell do you want?" I asked the moment she answered.

"I want to give you an explanation. Please. And for you to come back." I stayed silent. "I'll finally admit it. Jason and I have been together for a few months now. I'm so sorry for cheating on you. I swear it'll never have again. Please. Can you and Axel come back?" She pleaded.

"Lacy. I don't give a single fuck about how sorry you are. And don't think I ran away with our child. Because I didn't. If it wasn't for Axel I would've stayed. We're safe. I'm enrolling him into a new school. And I'm getting him an evaluation and some help tomorrow." I said. I tried to be as calm as possible. "And that's all you need to know. Goodbye Lacy." I added hanging up. I called Danny. After this I can't talk anymore.

"Thank god you finally called back! Are you two safe!? Do you need help!? Where are you!?" He kept asking the moment he answered.

"Yeah. We're safe. I'm at my aunt's house. And before you ask. Lacy told me what's been happening." I answered.

"Okay. When they told me and Matt. Matt and I beat the shit out of Jason. And cut off all communication with him. He's a fucking asshole." That's an understatement. "And know that you can always call us. And we'll drive no matter the distance to see you guys."
