"Hello. May I ask who this is?" She answered.
"Uh... Hey... Is this Lacy?" I asked.
"Yes it is. You sound familiar. Who are y- oh my god..." She paused. "Jay? I never thought I'd hear from you again. What are you doing calling me? What's wrong?" She gasped.
"Nothing's wrong. I just thought its be nice to have Axel call his mom." I responded.
I couldn't talk to her anymore. I handed Axel the phone. I sat on the other side of the couch. I couldn't hear her anymore. I could only hear Axel.
"Hey mom... I'm 14... Eh, I don't have the best grades but still passing... What?... Oh... I think I have to go now. I'm meeting up with my friend. Bye." He handed me the phone and went to his room slamming the door shut.
"What did you say to make him mad?" I cooed.
"I told him that he has a little sister." She answered. I stayed silent. "A few months after you two left Jason and I got married and had a baby." She announced. "And if I'm being completely honest. I really couldn't care less. Elizabeth and Jason make me more happy than you two could. S-"
But didn't Jason say he couldn't have babies? I then just hung up on her. I was truly more pissed off that she hurt Axel's feelings. I went to open Axel's door but it was locked.
"Axel. Can you please let me in?" I asked.
"No! This is your fault!" He yelled. I stayed silent. "You thought it was a good idea to call my mom when you know she doesn't give a crap about me!"
"Sorry. You wanted to know about her, so I thought it'd be cool for you to call her. I didn't know it'd turn out like this." I apologized. He opened the door. He walked past me. "Where are you going?" I asked.
"Out." He hissed leaving.
I didn't know what to do. I tried calling him. No answer. I drive around. Couldn't find him. I then decided to call James's parents.
"Hello Jay. What so you need?" James's mom; Suzie answered.
"I'm sorry to bother you. But do you have any clue where Axel may be?" I asked in full panicking mode. "He got mad at me and left. I drove all over and couldn't find him. I tried calling him." I was talking so fast.
"James just said that he was gonna go hang out with Axel." She answered. Soon after her and James's dad; Michael all came over. We were all panicking.
"Axel wanted to know about his mom so I thought it'd be cool for him to call her. So I called an old friend of mine and got her number and he called her. He got mad and went into his room for about 20 minutes. Then left and agent somewhere." I explained.
I was pacing back and forth basically pulling my hair out. They tried calling James. No answer. I tried called Axel again. No answer. I was petrified. We drove all around town looking for them. It was soon getting dark. I heard a scream from the park. I knew that sound. I got out of my car and ran to the park. Oh my god. I saw a grown man trying to kidnap them. Ah fuck no. I ran faster than I ever did before. I pushed Axel and James out of the way. They both fell to the ground. I glared at the guy.
"If I ever see you around here again I will kill you." I hissed in a deep voice towards the man. He gasped and ran away
