"Maybe you have to know the darkness before you can appreciate the light." - Madeline L'Engle

—Recap—
Our story has just begun. Ori, our hero, has saved Nibel. Though for the sacrifice of Kuro. Our second spirit, Aris, was born. But in a way not intended to be.Deep within the woods, in the darkest and dimmest region. Aris, lays barely conscious on the unnourished soil. Fungus, moss, insects and all types of things were present. This 'swamp' so to speak was a place no spirit would ever wish to visit. And Aris has unintentionally found himself here.
In this forest far from the main regions of Nibel, the power from the spirit tree could not reach him. Without said light Aris is left incredibly weak. He can't fully muster his strength. The darkness that lives within this forest only weakens him more.
The only sound to be heard in the silence was his subtle breathing. Everything else seemed like it didn't have a presence whatsoever.
Eventually his body began to wake, the brightness of his physique fluctuated as the light within him was set in motion. He gained consciousness. His eyes slowly opened, adjusting to his almost pitch-black surroundings. His first action was to stand, though at first he could not move. No muscle in his entire body seemed to respond.
"C-can't... move..."
Those were the very first words to leave his mouth. Eventually, his muscles responded, enabling him to stand.
"Alright, finally. Now I can stan- woah!... Ouch!"
The moment was short lived as Aris fell down onto the ground face first.
"Bleh! Ugh, how great."
He let out a sarcastic sigh. Whilst spitting the mud out of his mouth.Attempting to stand a second time he tripped yet again but, just barely kept his balance this time around. The blood within his arteries finally gave strength to his calf muscles. Resulting in Aris keeping balance entirely.
"Finally."With that out of the way, Aris took a glance at his surroundings. It was dark, too dark for his liking. Aris' light could not illuminate far into the void.
"Where... am I?" Is the first question he asked. The very first question everyone always asks when they're lost. Not a single gust of wind was present, no life, absolutely nothing. Every single tree around was bare, branches consumed by fungus and decay. It doesn't seem anyone has been here before, as there were no signs of culture. None at all.
Aris paced slowly on the spot, looking left, right, forward and back. His mind began to think and process the current situation. Though he had difficulty doing so. Aris didn't know who nor what he was.
He clearly noticed his body's glow, the light emitting out of himself. However, he was dimming by the second.
The only thought in his entire consciousness now was: 'Who am I?'When a spirit is born, under the light.
The spirit tree gives each individual guardian the necessary knowledge on what their purpose is, and how to live their lives. Especially on how to use their abilities. This factor is what defines every spirit from each other. Abilities range from ones based solely for combat, agility, agriculture ie chlorokinesis and many others.Without any knowledge whatsoever, spirits don't know who nor what they are. This is the case from which Aris is experiencing. He was born outside of Nibel, away from the light he so very desperately needs.
Aris is only left with his instincts, left to travel on his own and find the light he's sought to claim. Yet, this is all Aris could do. He had not a single clue on where to even start. Without clear evidence on the tree's whereabouts, he would be trapped in the forest for most if not all of his entire life.
