—Recap—
After returning to the spirit tree our friends discovered it was torn from the ground, unable to feed the forest with its light. Ori was going to sacrifice himself to undo this damage, but Aciros took his place. With him gone our two friend only felt sorrow, but now Aris has been separated from Ori as he's now gone missing.Aris POV
I watched both Ku and Ori fly off into the distance, past the spirit tree until I eventually lost sight of them. The sky was clear from any clouds, so I didn't worry for their safety. I sat on the same ledge for at least a few hours, watching the wildlife thrive.
After my moment of rest I stood up and walked back looking into the cave, though Ku & Ori weren't around for the time being, it seemed just as lively.
"I'm going to go now, thank you for the hospitality Miss Naru." I thanked."You're welcome, feel free to come back anytime." She smiled. I waved goodbye and excused myself.
"So, has your opinion changed?" Vaeth questioned.
"They're very kind to me, but I don't think I'm comfortable being with a family just yet." I answered.
"I see. Well let's wait for Ori to return with Ku, you can ask them for their opinion on being in a family."
"Alright I'll ask him— wait... speaking of Ori, shouldn't they be back by now?" I questioned just realizing how much time had passed.
"You're right, it's been several hours since they left. Give me a moment, I'll try to sense the area for Ori's signature of energy." Vaeth replied after going silent for several minutes. Whilst he was busy, I took the time to look around. Returning back to the ledge I sat on minutes prior, looking out into the forest there was no sign of them.
"I can't seem to sense them. Aris they're no longer in Nibel." My thoughts stopped for a moment, that didn't sound right.
"What do you mean they're not in Nibel?"
Ori would surely never leave without telling us beforehand."I can't sense neither Ori's or Ku's life force. My senses can span the entire forest, which gave me the conclusion they're not in Nibel." Vaeth explained.
"Then we should go find them!" I exclaimed in panic.
"Aris there is no proper way to look for them because we don't even know where they are. Is there anything you can remember when they left?" Vaeth questioned.
"All I know is they traveled East." I answered.
Vaeth paused for a moment before asking again. "How far East?"
"How am I supposed to know?"
"Right, sorry. Though I have an idea where they might've ended up to. The land of Niwen."
"The land of Niwen? The one you've mentioned before?"
"Precisely."
"But what gave you such a verdict?"
"The land of Niwen is far East from Nibel, it also links back to why I can't sense neither Ori and Ku." Vaeth explained.
