—Recap—
Aris and Ori have teamed together in the search for Ku. The forest of Niwen is a vast and diverse land, so finding Ku will be a challenge. They're on their way to find this Kwolok, who might know the information they seek.

Aris POV

I was learning a lot from Opher, even though it's only been several minutes. He offered me simple tips for free since it was my first time being an actual customer. Though after a few more minutes he requested Spirit light as payment, I had to decline since I didn't actually have any in my possession.

"Make the most of your skills, young one, as it won't come as cheaply the next time we meet. Our paths will surely cross again, until then keep your blade at the ready and stay sharp! So long!" Opher hopped onto his staff and swung away into the distance, traveling directly towards the Wellspring.

"Hey, Ori. You should know what Opher told
me— huh? Ori?" Turning back to where Ori was originally standing, he wasn't there.
"Ori?" I called.

"I'm over here." He answered. Facing the origin of his voice, I saw Ori sitting on the ledge's tip dangling his legs in the air. I gave a sigh as I'd thought he left somewhere without me.
"So? Did he tell you anything interesting?" He asked.

"We'll just a few sword styles and more angled attacks against the enemy. He even told me how to create a bow of light!" I exclaimed. Ori's expression became intrigued and somewhat disbelieving to my words.

"A bow?" Ori questioned clearly confused.
"Can you show me?" Ori also questioned.

"Alright, but don't be surprised if I mess up."
Concentrating, I imaged the shape Opher taught me. The bow's length, glistening string and piercing arrow. A glow began to form in my hands until a bow took form, though it was much darker than we both expected.

My darkness somehow took a tole on its materialization, it did however seem more powerful than a normal bow. A hybrid of light and dark, its potential seemed limitless. I paused for a moment thinking of all the weapons I could create, until Ori snapped me back into reality.
"So? You going to show me or not?" He questioned in slight impatience.

"Right, sorry."
Taking a deep breath I raised my arms into the air, aiming the bow out towards the vast expanse of Niwen. Time seemed to have slowed around me, as my concentration only grew deeper and deeper. I chose a slime as my target.

The arrowhead was aimed directly onto the slime, ready to kill its target. My fingertips held the string of light back, increasing the tension within it. Releasing my grip the string flung forwards, shooting the arrow straight towards the slime. Piercing through the air with great speed, the arrow began to descend towards the ground.

Making contact with the slime's skin, the arrow ripped straight through its core, ending its life on the spot. The slime faded away, only leaving the arrow stuck into the ground.
"Well, color me impressed!" Ori clapped.

"Well it's not that impressive, I just killed a slime. The weakest of the bunch!" I sighed.

"Well this to me is impressive all on its own. Anyways, we should continue forward. We can't waste anymore time here." Ori remarked.

"Alright, but how do we cross... you know... this?" I asked pointing forward. Beyond this ledge was a small decent, but not just any descent. The ground below was littered with thorns and spikes, including the corrupted water flowing between them. Some strange creatures we haven't encountered yet have claimed home to this death trap, it's best if we avoid this as much as possible.
