—Recap—
After his goodbyes with Mira, Ori continues his journey into the unknown. Along his journey however, he unintentionally discovered a temple which the crystal acted as a key for. Once inside, there were many traps to welcome him. Once he was fatally injured, a shadowling, Umbra, came to his rescue. After being healed Ori was lead to another room, where a special stone altar was shown to him. It revealing the grim and terrible future, the future Ori has to prevent. Umbra then teleported him through a Spirit Well to where he is now. The location where his other half should be.

In the silence of the forest, Ori was in a deep sleep, beside his 'new friend' although no proper introductions were made. As the both of them lay dormant, someone else decides to make an appearance. It was Ilani. Who has manifested outside of Aris, after recovering from almost being vaporized not too long ago. He was left speechless seeing not only Aris on the ground but Ori too. And having not a single clue who Ori is.

Ilani's POV

"Who is that?" I question to the sight of another spirit on the ground. Including... it's concerning that Aris hasn't changed physically either. He body seems to be, darker than before.
I've split from his body but it still remains as dark as it is...
What should I do? Maybe... maybe this other spirit could help us.

"Aris? Aris buddy... are you ok?"
He could not hear me. Just a lifeless silence was the response.

I formed my arms and hands, grabbing onto him. I pulled back and forth, shaking his body in hopes it would wake him. I continued this for several minutes, yelling his name throughout but nothing I did seemed to work. Unless...

"Hey! You! Get up!"
I turn to behind me, facing the other grounded spirit. Maybe they'll know some way to heal Aris... or at least help.

I nudge their shoulder slightly, which manages to wake them up.
"W-ho?! What?! Where?!"

They twist and turn upon waking in panic, till their eyes are finally fixated onto me. From then a brief moment of silence ensues.
"What... what are you?"

This wasn't the reaction I was expecting. Normally many would be afraid of seeing a being such as myself. When considering what dark creatures have done in the past.

"I'm a shadowling, you may call me Ilani. But there's no time for introductions. I need your help."

"With what?"

"Him."
I point to Aris' body.
"He's not waking up, which has got me worried. I was wondering, if you'd have any way to help him... uh...-"

"It's Ori." He responds.

"Oh, right. Ori... so is there anything you can do?"

He stands up, ignoring my request and walks over to Aris.
"What are you doing?"

"I'm seeing what's wrong."
Seeing what's wrong? You can tell what's wrong already! Aris is dead just by the looks of it!

"He's dead."
Yeah, no kidding.
"But, I've handled something like this before. Just not... with a creature such as this one." He adds.

"Creature? He's a spirit you halfwit!" I scoff to his remark.

"SPIRIT!?!" He suddenly shouts.
What's with this reaction of his?
