—Recap—
Ori had successfully left his home without disturbing any member of his family. Although... Ku was quick to catch him over a simple creak from a plank of wood. Besides a discussion about Ku's own parents/origin,
Ori spent some time to reassure and promise Ku his own absence will be short lived. But, Ori himself is not sure how long his journey will take... or if he'll even return at that. After gifting Ku a lightburst to remind Ku of him, Ori left. Traveling to the forest's border and eventually into the Crystal Shallows. To only discover his own name embroidered into the scarf once owned by the powerful Mira. Seconds after this his head burst with pain, as a crystal formed through and out of his skin for an unknown reason. But this crystal, nonetheless, has linked him to Mira.

"It's me... Mira."

Her soothing voice echoed into the expanse.
She smiled, so happily, with tears running down her cheeks.
Ori was bewildered over her emotional state. He was lost if she was happy or upset. Maybe both?

"I... I know who you are but... h-... how do you know me?"

"That's... something I can't easily explain."
Her smiled was now gone. She turned away and gripped her left upper arm. A clear sign of frustration, angst and... fear?
Ori could somehow tell exactly how she felt... as if he knew all of her expressions...

He wished to ask but, assumed, Mira would respond in the same way as before.

"Tell me, why did you disappear? Why did you leave us all to fend for ourselves? A-and... how do you even know my name? That scarf too..."
Although Mira is gifted with incredible light prowess, it does not make her all-knowing.

She seemed to back away from him after his words. Startled. Her own body reacting to his third question the most.

Mira continued to cry, like a rainstorm was trying to escape her eyes. It was both physically and metaphorically a waterfall.

"As I feared... you don't remember anything... nothing at all."
It was clear Mira was heartbroken. Ori, however, plummeted further into confusion regarding the current situation.

"I'll explain everything. Especially as to how I know you."
She paused and took subtle deep breaths, whilst also clearing her tears. Which would not stop.

"Many, many years ago, long before the spirit tree became what it is today. I was just a mere young child. Around your own age, Ori. I was born from an entirely different spirit tree, one from a distant land I can't remember the name of. I lived in a peaceful and secluded village, with my family and... you."

"M-me..?"

"Your home was neighboring my own. I saw you every day as we stuck with each other all the time. You were my dearest friend... though I saw you more than that. It's about time you... learnt of your past."

She raised her hands and pointed them towards Ori. A glow was emitted from her as the crystal in Ori reacted in kind. Visions and memories flooded into Ori's consciousness. As did severe pain.

Mira continued explaining the past, completely overlooking the torment consuming Ori.

"Our friendship back then was strong, to the point we were inseparable. Whenever I needed you... you were always there by my side. Until... that one, fateful, day."

The crystal resonated brighter and brighter, far greater than before. Memories continued to intrude into his mind as the increasing overwhelming pace of it created a vision.
