Chapter 2

"Yeah just arrived mum" I spoke down the phone. "Yes, there were no problems. No, mum it was fine. Okay, love you, Bye!" I sighed and looked around me. My house was perfect. Not too small, not too big. As it was late afternoon, I decided to go and explore the town a bit.
As I was leaving my door, I saw a dirty blonde haired boy walk towards me, looking at his phone. He finally looked up and said "Oh! Sorry, I noticed that there were removal vans here and I wanted to come and say hi" he said smiling. "I'm your neighbor, Joe."
"Hey, i'm Ava" I said. He was so cute, much more good looking and well mannered than any boys I knew.
"So, where are you off too?"
"Oh, i'm just going off to explore Bath a bit, I guess"
"Want me to show you around?" he grinned at me.
"Um, ok sure"
"JOE, JOEEEEEEEEE!"
I turned around and saw three teenage girls charging towards me and Joe at top speed.
"Heyy guys" he smiled at them, like he had known them forever.
"Can. We get. A picture please?" A girl said, breathless.
"Haha sure thangg!"
The girls and Joe took a few pictures, then we carried on walking.
"So, your quite well known around here?" I asked.
"I guess you could say that, i'm a youtuber" he smiled "were you freaked out?"
"No! I mean...not really..."
"Aw, thats cute"
I blushed. He called me cute. Me. I felt my legs turn to jelly and I stumbled. Luckily, Joe grabbed my waist and pulled me back upright.
"You alright?" he asked. He looked worried.
"Yeah, I'm fine" I smiled up at him.
I noticed that his arm was still around my waist, holding me close to him. I didn't say anything because, to be honest, I liked it. It felt nice and protective, like he cared about me.
"Soo..I'll see you around then?" he asked, when we reached my front door.
"Sure, your welcome any time." I grinned.
"As are you" He smiled back at me, and I felt this warm fuzzy feeling flow through me.
As he walked to his door I yelled "Joe!"
He turned. "Yeah?"
"Thanks" I said, turned around and the last thing I saw was Joe laughing to himself.
