A Pleasant Surprise

The alarms on both our phones started going off way too early. We both growled as we rolled away from each other to retrieve our stupid phones. If I hadn't needed mine and replacing it wasn't so damn expensive I would have just thrown the damn thing against the wall. I rolled back to him as he rolled back to me. We tangled into each other like we have been doing just that for all of our lives. I smiled as he placed a soft and gentle kiss on my forehead and whispered, "Good morning, Love."

"Good morning." I gently kissed his cheek and attempted to tame his bed-beard with my hands.

He laughed merrily, "That's not likely to work given all the fun we had last night. I need a shower." He attempted to smooth my hair back behind my ear. "So do you." His laughter was the sweetest thing I had ever heard, even though he was laughing at me. "I wish it was big enough for two." His eyes were almost completely blue in the early morning light and his voice was so deep I was struggling to hang onto and understand the words that spilled out of his mouth. He kissed me deeply and let his hands roll over my body his fingers expertly caressing my skin and bringing heat to my core. "I love you, Michelle. I love you with all of my heart." He kissed my nose after holding my eyes for a long while, then cautiously extricated himself from the tangle of my arms and legs and rolled out of the bed. His naked form walked to the door before he turned back and told me where I already knew he was going.

I busied myself gathering my things and packing everything I didn't need to start my trip, then got everything ready to start breakfast. He slapped my naked ass when he walked back into the room. "You marked me," he commented lightly. "nice. Not in spots, anyone is likely to have the opportunity to see. Unlike that one and these two if you wear a tank top." He gently touched several spots on my neck and chest then reached down between my legs. I left one here too. I didn't mean to do that one. Sorry. I might have gotten a bit carried away." He gave me a sheepish shrug and I laughed. I didn't have anything pressing where hickies would be a problem.

I shrugged and smacked his ass as I walked to the bathroom shaking my head. "I set things out to make breakfast. Would you mind?"

"I got it. What time are we leaving?"

"Check out is at 10. So then. What time is your flight?"

"This afternoon. Let me check."

"Mine is in the afternoon too. 4:15 to LA, then off to Portland and a short drive to the Landing." I didn't bother with shutting the bathroom door. I could smell breakfast as he started cooking it. He was just setting it on the table when I walked out of the bedroom. "Looks so good. Thank you. I love you." He pulled out my chair for me and poured my orange juice, then sat across from me. He just looked at me and smiled. He didn't pick up his fork or touch anything. He just smiled and watched me eat.

"What. Did you poison the food?"

"Don't be ridiculous. No." His indignant smile made me laugh.

"Then why are you looking at me like that?"

"What is your flight number?"

"It's ah," I looked to the ceiling while I tried to remember the stupid number.

"You are flying American, yes?"

"Yes. 4442. Why?"

"Your layover is in LA? How long is it?"

"Just 2 hours. Why are you smiling like that."

"That's two more hours we will have to spend together."

I looked at him stupefied. I could not put my head around what he was saying. "Are you going to meet me at the airport?"

"Well, kind of. That is my flight too. I hope you don't mind. I bumped you to first class. I used my credit card."
