It was a Tuesday and Maddie and I are on our way to EJ's restaurant. It's our usual girl's night out but ever since Maddie and I got back together, the gals have always wanted her to come with us every Tuesday.
" Ayan na sila" sabi ni Jia when they saw us walking inside the closed restaurant. Kapag Tuesday kasi ay close ito para lang sa barkada. Bugoy, EJ's husband is also here with us. Magkakasundo na nga kame eh. Simula nung una naming nakita si Bugoy naging close na kame he was based on New York kase.
" Hi, Maddie! Hi, Bea!" bati ni Bugoy sa amin. We hugged each other and we walked towards the gang.
" Hi, Buggy kamusta?" sabi ni Maddie.
" I'm good ito finally tapos na din contract ko sa US.
" Ikaw? Okay ka na ba?"
" Yup, I'm fine. Kailangan eh."
" Don't worry. Andito naman kami for you eh. Lalo na yan si Bea."
" Ano dude? Musta?" sabi ko pagkakita ko naman kay Mich. She's been MIA for the last 2 weeks at kahit chat sa group namin ay wala siyang paramdam.
" Kingina mga dude I survived Thailand!" sabi niya saka nakipagapir sa amin.
" Nasa Thailand ka ng di namin alam?!" gulat na tanong ko. Humalakhak siya saka ko siya binatukan.
" Nasaan Pasalubong ko?!"
" Yan na nga rason ko ba't di ako nagsabi sa inyo. Panigurado manghihingi kayo."
" Kaibigan ka talagang ungas ka." sabi naman ni Kiana sabay batok kay Mich
" Aray ko!" aniya
" Wag na tayo umasa sa lokang yan. Sa sobrang kuripot niyan baka patay na tayo bago magbigay ng kung ano yan." sabi ni Jia
" Teka si Diana Mae pala?" tanong ni Kianna
" Papunta pa lang daw. Galing dun sa bahay ni Ced sa Cavite." sagot naman ni EJ
" Oo nga pala. Mads, okay na daw sabi ni Rocky. Nakausap mo na ba siya?"
" Oo. Tumawag ako sa kanya kanina and we talked about Ebe's talent fee. Nakausap ko na din yung Mom ng client namin and okay na lahat. Thanks, J."
" You're welcome. Basta may baby shower na ko sayo ha." ngiti nito ng malaki.
" Oo naman, sagot ko na yun."
" Nako, nakakahiya naman Maddie." sabi ni Bugoy
" Wala yun no. It's the least that I can do." sagot nia
Dumating na si Diana kasama ang girlfriend niyang si Ced after an hour. Binati na sila ng lahat and we all gathered around the table to have a nice dinner.
" Guys may announcement pala ako." Diana said as she stood up. We all stared at her and she smiled like an elementary kid who won her first science quiz bee.
" Ced and I are getting married."
Everyone was shocked and fell silent. Diana Mae Carlos?! is getting married sa aming lahat, she was the girl who can't settle for one girl. She never liked the concept of having a family and settling down. She never liked commitment. The fact that she has Ced for a girlfriend is already a culture shock for us and now this?!
" Fuck, are you damn serious Carlos?" Mich was the one who broke the silence
" Mich, do I look like I'm trying to pull a joke on you guys?"
" Oo your like a joke for us D" sabat ni Kianna
" Ced, umoo ka sa kanya?! bakit?!" Ced giggled as she nods at her question. Damn she really said yes
