Whoa! Author publishing a story for once! Wowie! Sorry for stories not being published as often as they should. Lacrosse is very important for my family and me so I've been doing that non-stop.
Description/theme: You were the only guardian who could beat Drifter at his own game, gambit. Nobody knew why you were so good, but they knew they wanted to be on your team when it came to gambit.
Triggers: Mention of guns, death, and swears

~Drifters POV~
When it came to gambit, I never lost. It was my own game after all. So, of course, I know the ins and outs. There is one Guardian who might take the position of being the best, though. (Y/N) (L/N). I am aware that she/he has taken down a god or two, but never have I thought that they'd be into this type of stuff. But, I guess everyone needs to break a few rules to keep them self sane. Going back to taking down literal gods means taking out a few drags and knights must be considered child's play to him/her. I wouldn't be surprised if she/he became the next hunter vanguard. He/she's very pretty might I add. If not a hunter, she'd/he'd be a model. I mean look at that ass! I should totally ask her/him out on a date pretty soon. Maybe get some spicy ramen. Or play a match of gambit. Us VS anyone. I was so distracted by my thoughts of (Y/N) I completely forgot the match going on in front of me. One of the teams was about to pull a prime evil. I announced to the other team but my mind was still clustered about her/him. I took a deep breath and tried to concentrate on the match. But soon enough, the match ended and the original team who pulled their prime evil first got it down first. After making a few more announcements to the team, I went to the next match. Hoping it was a little more interesting.
"Alright! Alright! Alright!" I said as I looked to the Guardians around me. One side, had a few guardians looking to one another as if confirming what they saw was true. Confused, I looked over to the other side which took my breath away. It was (Y/N). "Looks like we have an interesting match of gambit prime. Might not be fairest. Fallen are on the field!"
I laughed as I saw one of the Guardians on the opposing team from (Y/N) left. I chuckled and considered going in by myself. I scratched my beard and looked at my ghost. I'm pretty sure they knew what I was thinking. In seconds, I was transmitted into the match. "Drifter, on the field!"
~(Y/N) POV~
Taking out the fallen near me, I heard through the coms about Drifter entering the game. I couldn't be more excited. If anyone was going to put up a fight, it would be him. I was rather happy but I couldn't tell if I should try during the match. I really wanted him to like me. But, if I won the match would he not like me? Would he be embarrassed that I beat him? Or should I try and prove that I'm more then what I'm worth?
"I want you to try your hardest, (Y/N)," the Drifter said, laughing a bit. "Because I know I will."
"You know I will be," I responded, I'm not even sure if he heard me, though. But it made up my mind that I will try. "Alright, team. My back hurts, so, don't expect to be carried."
"Just because Drifter likes you doesn't mean your good." Some rude warlock said beside me.
"Trent," a kind Titan said to him, "He's/Shes worked hard for their title. Unlike you, she/he didn't flirt for what they have."
"Hey-" Trent mustered before he was cut off by the other hunter.
"How about we all try our best and not get in each other's way?" She said. "However, listen to (Y/N). I don't want to be on their bad side if I ever face her/him."
