Chapter 16: System's Control (human factor)

It has been a week ever since Smokescreen became the newest member of team Prime. Bulkhead's recovery was getting better as he was not as wobbly when he is walking. Miko was trying to cheer up her guardian, but he was like grumpier than he was.

Smokescreen suggested that he should use the Apex Armor, which he got from Starscream.

"Instant muscle suit." Smokescreen exclaimed

"Do you think I need a crutch?!" Bulkhead asked angrily as he heats the Apex Armor towards the computer.

"BULKHEAD! I NEEDED THAT!" Ratchet said as he points at the computer while looking at Bulkhead.

"Ngh, Out of my way, Rookie!" Bulkhead said pushing the newbie aside, walking and picking up the metal ball.

"He can walk!" Smokescreen commented as he watched the wrecker.

Ratchet just mumbled at him

"What was that all about?" You asked as you just came in after you took your parents for a ride.

"Nothing, Y/n." Ratchet said as he works on his computer.

You just sighed as you continued your little project for all the bots and yourself.

"Are you serious Raf, of all people, you're grounded?" Jack said as he was seated on the couch.

He puts his phone on speaker to let you hear what Rafael was going to say.

"Yeah, I've miss placed some homework's and blew a couple of test." Rag said

"Translation, A minus instead of A." Miko said

"I'm probably spending too much time at the base."

"Well, that's Rafael's family. They just want him to succeed." Your mom explained

"Say 'hi' for Bee and Y/n for me. Until I pass these grades, I'm off team prime."

"Okay." Jack said, "Y/n, care to say anything to Raf?"

"Yeah, Raf good luck on your tests and hopefully be back here soon." You said

"Thanks Y/n, goodbye." Raf hung up and ended the call.

You continued to work on your little project. "You know, I kinda miss going back to school." You said.

"Seriously?" Miko asked "School is really boring."

"Well for you its boring, but you get to learn things that you didn't even know about and try to adapt to it as you grow..." You explained and frowned at the same time, "...but it turns out the future had something else planned for you and everything you've learned wasn't worth it."

"Y/n....are you okay, sweetheart?" Your mom asked, concerned

"Yeah..." You said as you looked over to her, "...l just...I never expected that my life as a human would end that way."

"What are you even making anyway?" Jack asked

"Oh, I'm making holoforms, so when I transform into my vehicle mode, a human version of myself will be able to...see what I've been missing." You said

"Y/n, you really want to go back to your old self? You look cooler to be like this." Miko said

"Miko, that's not it." Your dad said, "Sweety, I know you want to reminisce the life you had before and I won't stop you from doing so, though you must remember that the cons are still out there."

"I know dad." was all you can say as you put the last piece of the parts and your done with your device.

You attached the device behind the decor on your forehead as you activated it. Your screenplate was activated as you scanned it, saying that it was okay. You transformed into your vehicle mode and activated your holo form as you went outside of your vehicle mode.
