Chapter 21: The New Prime

After escaping the Omega One base, Bumblebee, Arcee, Bulkhead and Ratchet were able to survive while keeping a low profile among themselves, but one thing they cannot use in their phones, since the decepticons can tract them anywhere.

During the collecting of items in the wreckage, Megatron was upset that the Forge of Solus Prime was there and that the Autobots flee being the beam hit the base. He was wrong. Deep in the wreckage, is were you and Optimus are badly injured and wasn't spotted yet by decepticons.

As you tried to open your eyes you felt someone dragging you, but you could barely see them as you were still half unconscious. Right then, you were placed back on the ground next to someone bigger than you. You opened your optics to see who, and you saw Optimus, who is also badly injured. You tried to get up but you were stopped by a servo on your left shoulder. When you looked to who it was, it was Smokescreen.

"Smokescreen.....what are.....you doing.....here?" You asked between your heavy breathing as you looked at the mech in front of you.

"I came back for Optimus, but I didn't expect that you would be here, since I saw you and bee go through the ground bridge together." Smokescreen said

Then Smokescreen explained that once he got out from the ground bridge, he said he couldn't just let Optimus get left behind and went back through the ground bridge. But when he came back, everything was destroyed and decided to stay hidden from the cons. He then noticed an arm sticking out from the wreckage and knew that Optimus was underneath it, but he didn't expected to find you next to him.

Right then Optimus opened his optics to find Smokescreen and you beside him. Smokescreen explained everything to him. Optimus looked at you as you closed your optics, trying to control your heavy breathing.

"Y/n.....did you.....came back?" Optimus asked

"The team needed.....a leader.....they needed.....you." You said.

Smokescreen then decided to try and find something to treat both you and Optimus' wounds and told the both of you to power down for strength. You watched him go through the walls, by using the Phase Shifter. You then felt Optimus' servo on yours as you looked at him with tired optics.

"Y/n." He started, "you shouldn't have.....come back for.....me.....you were supposed to.....become the new.....Prime when.....Alpha Trion sent.....the message about.....Solus Prime."

"Prime or not.....Optimus, I'm not.....going to stop...... fighting for your planet.....and mine." You said as you closed your optics to rest, and Optimus did the same.

"You would make.....a great Prime.....today." He said you both waited for Smokescreen to return.

The next day Bumblebee got his new paint job in order to hide from the cons. Of course, credits to Raf and your parents. They then saw in the internet that they saw Ratchet in a junkyard and decided to replace that photo before the decepticons find out. Of course, during that Starscream was surprised by when he tried to show the picture of Ratchet, it was changed, thanks to Raf.

Arcee and Jack were nearly caught by the cons when Jack texted his mom that he is okay. Right then, as they were driving a ship flew above them and landed a few feet. The only thing that came out of it was another cybertronian. Optimus' second in command during the war, Ultra Magnus.

Bulkhead and Miko were also safe and was able to reunite with Wheeljack, also finding out that the decepticons has a Predicon on their side. Though they were saved by Ultra Magnus by his ship and was able to get the three of them out of there.

Meanwhile, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Raf and your parents were able to get to the Harbinger to use it, only to be visited by Ultra Magnus' ship and the others. Everyone was glad that they're all okay, but was still lacking three more Autobots.
