Before
Taking his Gem out makes another Steven? Makes Pink Diamond? I grin to myself, backing away from the door to think to myself. Of course! His gem! It's still her. I can fix everything, making (Y/N) not have to choose! Make Pink Diamond make up for what she had done!Yes... I know what has to be done.
I know what I have to do to fix this...
Now
"Alright, I'll let her know Steven. Have fun on your date with Connie."
"Not a date (Y/N)!"
Giggling lightly I finish walking down the stairs to pick up Spinel and head out and maybe bring her somewhere to hang out and show her around and what's available on Earth for us to do. Hopefully together.
"Spinel! I'm done, we can head out now." Making it to the final step, I turn my head towards the couch only to meet up with Amethyst laying lazily, scoffing down a wrapped pizza. "Amethyst? Wh-wheres Spinel?!"
Looking over at me she tilts her head confused "I thought she was with you?" Taking a bite of her pizza she continues, "Don't worry, she's a gem. She can take care of herself"
Anger washed over me. Does she even know how Spinel was?! Letting out a deep sigh I decide that talking with her won't be any help. If she wasn't here then she may have gone outside.
"Spinel? You out here?!"
Opening the front I lookout, hoping to see the skinny pink gem but no luck. Thats strange... She would never leave me, I couldn' even picture her being away for a minute without me. Looking down from the porch I saw footprints in the sand. Okay! Thats a start... I guess? Running down I follow the steps as best I can. Spinel seemed to walk pretty far around the house? What was she doing back here?
"Ugh... (Y/N)?! What are you doing?"
Quickly spinning my head I see Steven stepping outside from his glass door. Opening my mouth I go to tell him that Spinel was nowhere to be found but stop myself... Steven already has so much on his mind to think about, plus he never gets to hang with Connie alone anymore. I couldn't ruin this for him... Biting my lip I knew that in the end, I don't think no one but me could help Spinel from how closed off she was. With my mind made up, I call back.
"Me and Spinel started playing hide and seek! I was just using her footprints in the sand as a clue! Sorry if it seemed like I was spying on you!" I let out a believable fake laugh, rubbing my head nervously, feeling the strands of my hair getting caught on my fingers. Getting a small nod in return, Steven heads back in, probably to get something to eat before heading out.
Wait... Spying? Was Spinel... Looking down I could see that her footprints ended in the sand in a sudden stop. She did! She was listening to us?! I panicked. What did she hear?! Glancing around I could see that the prints on the sand were resembling running away from how distance her steps seemed to be. Where did she go?
Let's try home. If I was feeling alone and sad, that would be the first place I wound hide too. A plan in mind I sprint as fast as I could. Dodging everyone yelling sorry if I accidentally bump into them slightly. It was the least I could do at a time like this.
Finally making it home I slam open the door, panting heavily.
"SPINEL?! Are you here?!"
Nothing...
Making my way in quickly in desperation I call out again.
"Spinel! Please! If you're here, Answer me!"
