A Jolex Story

Chapter 8

Alex's pov:
I can't believe it! I am going to be a dad! If only I could wake up and kiss Jo and her little baby bump. I have been sleeping for a month and a half. I haven't seen Jo's face for that long. I have heard that Amelia has told that I might not wake up for a long time. The doctors have tried many times to wake me up but they have not managed to wake me. Jo is here everyday and she sleeps next to me every night. She talks to me everyday and I feel so happy to be able to hear her voice. She tells me about the things that have happened since the day of the car accident. First of all, Cristina came back to Seattle. Arizona and Callie are back together and they moved here last week. April works at GSMH and my baby is very healthy inside Jo's belly. Now Jo is 9 weeks pregnant and she has already bought baby stuff. I am so excited to become a dad. Well, now Jo's shift ended and she came to my room.

Jo: "Hi baby. How are you? Are you in pain? Listen to what happened today. While I was operating on a patient with Meredith I almost threw up on him but luckily I ran out of the O.R. and threw up on a bin. Later, Arizona came at me and suggested to have the first ultrasound. I heard baby's heartbeat and I burst out crying from happiness. I wish you could hear it too."
Alex's pov:
How lovely! I wish I could hear my daughter's heartbeat too. I am so sure that I am having a baby girl.

Jo: "I have an appointment next month. We might find out the gender. You better be awaken by then to see our baby's gender. What do you think it is going to be? I have a feeling it's a girl. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. Arizona and Callie have decided to adopt a baby and they're very happy about it. Owen adopted a baby last week and Cristina is proud of him. He's so good at parenting but I bet you're gonna be much better... "
Jo started crying.
Jo: "Please baby wake up. I am not the only one who misses you. Jackson and Bailey are very sad about it and Mer cries almost every day above Cristina's shoulder. Az and Callie will name the baby after you and our baby needs a father.  Please baby, do it for me and our baby..."
Jo said and leaned on me. She fell asleep right after. I don't want her to be miserable. Suddenly, I hear the monitor beeping and someone running in my room. I felt Jo waking up and crying over me.
