I sighed...They are being way too noisy... With another tired sigh, I closed the book that I was reading intently and picked up the fork. None too gently I stabbed the piece of sausage, my breakfast. With astonishing speed I finished my meal and without any word to my parents, who were eyeing me like I were an alien, I dashed towards my bedroom on the second floor.
Once inside my room, I closed the door, pressing my back against it as memories started flooding in. Two weeks, it had been two weeks since my world started falling apart.
~~~Flashback~~~~
It was my birthday, I had just turned 18 and definitely wasn't interested in the small birthday party that my parents organized for me, consisting of our closest relatives. I had no friends, for I was the outcast of my class for being too smart. None of my peers paid attention to me nor did I pay any attention to them.
But on this day, everything changed when I heard my two years old cousin screaming at her mother to give her another piece of cake.
I had informed my aunt about this but in return they all looked at me like I was some crazy lunatic. I had not understand this then but now I do. My two years old cousin still hadn't learnt how to speak, not even small, gibberish words. So, it was impossible for her to scream at her mother with perfect expressions.
Thinking of the incident as my imagination I had dismissed the thought. Until it happened again, this time I heard one of my Aunts say that my mother always shows off, wearing pricey jewellery, clothes etc. and that she was beyond tolerance.
Then everything just jumbled up inside my head. I could hear everything everyone was saying, though their mouths weren't moving. Because of all these, my head had started hurting and I remember running to my bedroom and how my parents had called out to me out of concern. More than anything, I remember that someone had said "He has gone completely crazy." before I closed my bedroom door.

Right then I understood that my normal life, for some unknown reason, wasn't normal anymore.
Everything will start getting even weirder as my school starts from next week. Just thinking about all those annoying kids and their not so holy thoughts just made me cringe.
Because I, Kim Namjoon, an 18 year old, had somehow managed to acquire the ability of reading people's mind.
