"Now, what was that?" Jisoo questions and Lisa shrugs softly. Her cheeks glow a deep shade of red.
"Tested some of the waters here and there," She mutters as Jisoo occupies herself by unwrapping one of the ice cream cones and handing it over to the girl who struggles to sit up.
A comfortable silence settles between them as Jisoo burns a gaze at the side of her face.
"You like her, I see it on your face," Jisoo says and Lisa isn't surprised her best friend can see straight through her.
"But I can't date her." Lisa replies and Jisoo is slightly intrigued at the fact that Lisa wants to date someone, in a serious manner that is.
The older woman purses her lips, "And that's because?" Jisoo questions knowing Lisa would tell her regardless of whether she asked or not.
Lisa puts her lips together and doesn't hesitate to tell her friend. "Kang Seulgi confessed, we even kissed," Lisa says more casually than she thought she would. Jisoo almost chokes on the ice cream she's eating.
"What?" She comes off breathless. "So, do you like Seulgi, too?" Jisoo asks and Lisa pauses to think about it.
She's unsure of how she feels, "I don't know, I mean she's the first person to have ever confessed to me in a genuine way. And I really like her, she's super nice, she gives great advice, talented, smart, and on top of that she's really pretty." Lisa says and Jisoo waits expectantly for her explanation.
"I don't really know, I'll figure it out." Lisa shrugs and Jisoo sighs at the girl's lack of process for the somewhat messy situation.
She doesn't press on the matter and decides that experience is always the best teacher. "And you? What brings you to my humblest of abodes?"
"That makes no sense, and this isn't even your house," Jisoo says and Lisa can tell she's upset about something.
"Say it, what's making you so sad," Lisa asks and the older one lets out a sigh. Lisa pouts her lips at that and feels worried for her older friend.
"I thought you would hear it from Chae," Jisoo says and Lisa looks confused. "
That you two had somewhat of a falling out? Yeah, I heard about it but it didn't look that bad seeing that you guys were talking earlier," Lisa says and Jisoo just fidgets around softly.
Jisoo clears her throat. "Well?"
Her eyes twitch and she sucks a breath in. "Jennie and I broke up,"
Lisa's eyes widen. "Excuse me, what the actual fuck?"
-
"Jisoo," Jennie whines at her annoyed girlfriend who seems to get more stressed by the moment.
Jisoo bites her lips as she tries not to initiate a fight, she tries to make it clear she needs some time alone.
"Are you made because of Rosie?" Jennie asks and Jisoo sighs loudly. "I told you it's not that," Jisoo argues slightly louder than she meant it to be and Jennie flinches.
Jisoo feels almost immediate guilt as her girlfriend doesn't speak another word.
Jennie bites her lip and sighs.
Jisoo runs her hands through her hair as she approaches the girl. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you like that, I just.." Jisoo sighs and Jennie nods her head in acknowledgement. "It's fine," Jennie says and Jisoo can easily tell that none of this is fine.
"I just want you to tell me what's making you so frustrated," Jennie says and all Jisoo can do is hold back her tears.
She softly mutters to herself to calm herself down. "Nini, I can't tell you. It'll be much worse if I tell you." Jisoo says and Jennie pauses.
