"Geez, who even sends handwritten letters these days?" Jisoo leans onto the locker beside Chaeyoung's. "I think it's cute." She says enthusiastically.
"It's disgusting, that's what it is." Jisoo cringes and Chaeyoung smiles. "Unnie, you don't have to be so bitter." She pats her back and Jisoo rolls her eyes playfully.
Chaeyoung closes her bag. "So, do you know who it's from?" Jisoo follows her down the hallway. "Well, no." She says as she puts the letter into one of her pockets. "You're just going to go over to this locker and let this happen?"
"I mean, yeah? Is there any better way to do it?" She grins and Jisoo blinks at her for a moment. She purses her lips. "There are a fuck ton of creeps in our school," She reiterates and Chaeyoung laughs.
"I know! I've dated a handful of weirdos, I know how to deal with them. But out of courtesy, I want to at least give back their efforts." Chaeyoung smiles as she skips along. "You're going to the second campus, just because you want to give back someone you don't even know, nor will even date's efforts?" Jisoo stares at her blankly.
"Yeah?"
Jisoo laughs emptily. "I invited you to vibe with me during lunch for a reason, and it was not this."
"Hey, let's get some exercise in!" She says. Jisoo watches her, and despite her complaining, she follows along. "You literally had PE and Varsity yesterday. I, on the other hand, do not need exercise." Jisoo crosses her arms.
"Congratulations, you can keep a good figure." Chaeyoung sticks her tongue out. Jisoo snickers with a shake of the head, "I'd rather eat less than exercise more."
"I would literally flop into misery."
Jisoo grins. "Sounds about right." She nods in approval. Jisoo ponders for a moment and she hadn't realized but their pace is much quicker than earlier. She doesn't question it and follows along.
"So, how was PE yesterday?"
"I didn't go," Chaeyoung says nonchalantly. "What?!" Jisoo says loudly as she grabs her wrist to stop her.
"What do you mean--"
"H-Hi," A group of guys approach the two girls and Jisoo's expression twists. She sighs as she slowly moves away from Chaeyoung to give whoever and her some mind of privacy at least.
The guys push one boy specifically towards her. He's a familiar face. Basketball team, red highlights, black hair, cross earrings, and attractive to say the least.
Chaeyoung can't put her finger on his name. She bites her teeth together.
Eric? She ponders. Siwon? She purses her lips. "Hey," He says awkwardly as she brushes his fingers through his locks. Chaeyoung stares at him with a light gaze. "Hi!"
"U-Uhm, you got my letter?" He asks and Jisoo tries not to snicker. "Of course! That's why I'm here," She laughs cutely and her eyes curve into half crescents. The guy blushes and nods his head.
"Right!" He says and clears his throat. "I'm Eric, I doubt you know me though. I don't really talk often, a lot of people call me quiet." He says embarrassedly.
To be quite frank, Chaeyoung did expect some creepy guy like Jisoo had mentioned. Not a cute, quiet, athletic, but a moderately smart guy who was known to be good at drawing.
"I do know you! You're on the basketball team, aren't you? I've seen you around, and you're definitely one of the popular ones with the girls around here." She laughs sweetly and Jisoo leans back onto the wall. Chaeyoung was truly good at dealing with highschool people.
