"So, uhm why'd you drag me away so abruptly?" Seulgi asks as she scratches the back of her head. Jennie sighs and she tries to take a glance towards the trees. She sees the purple leather jacket just by the corner and she sighs softly.
She sits down and Seulgi does as well, pursing her lips. "To give them some private time, if you don't mind. They've been needing some closure so that they can move on." Jennie makes up some bullshit of an excuse.
She doesn't exactly understand why she's helping her ex-girlfriend's older sister but here she was doing whatever she was.
This got way too complicated for her to understand but it was so clear to her that Seulgi liked Joohyun. As for her feelings for Lisa? It was murky. It was like night an day to compare the two. Jennie sighs.
"They? Or Chaeyoung." Seulgi snarks and Jennie chuckles in the same tone.
"You're a smart unnie, you should know by now," Jennie replies with a serious look in her eyes. "Maybe, I do. But there's no harm in faking it till you make it." Seulgi shrugs.
"Why do you even date Lisa, when you're so clearly in love with someone else?" Jennie asks and Seulgi is taken aback. She's baffled by her question, "What?" Jennie laughs.
"Wait, holy shit. You're so unconscious." Jennie pauses and Seulgi tries to think carefully. "Stop."
"What?" Seulgi replies and Jennie sighs softly. "You don't think your feelings, you feel them."
"No shit sherlock." Seulgi sighs softly as she runs a hand through her hair. She's confused, but there's one person that lingers at the back of her head. She bites her lip.
"You should know by now? I mean, it's been pretty obvious."
Seulgi sucks her cheeks in. "I've been wondering actually. I mean I know that she's not the type to settle down, from what I hear, but really? Lisa? Out of all people?" Jennie crosses her arms.
"What are you on about?"
"You're using Lisa to get someone jealous, aren't you?" Jennie raises an eyebrow and Seulgi's expression falls. "I'm not."
"Are you sure?"
Seulgi swallows the feelings in her throat. Surely, not? She bites her lip. She didn't date Lisa because of that.
But.
She takes in a sharp breath. Admittedly, someone's been bothering her late-night thoughts quite often.
"If it was that obvious then you should have been thinking less, feeling more. It's written all over your face." Jennie grins smugly. Seulgi clenches her jaw. "I haven't been toying with anyone."
"I never said you did." She says firmly and Seulgi feels her anger slowly flare-up. "I don't need you to define anything or mess with my head." The older girl replies and Jennie nods.
"I know, but it's just a warning. There's no point in a relationship between you two." Jennie says and Seulgi clenches her fist.
The older girl was notorious for being quite hard to annoy, but the way the words slipped passed Jennie's lips so easily? It did it for her.
"Then what?" Her eyes slowly droop. "Then break up with her, or maybe she'll figure it out and break up with you." Jennie shrugs.
"Why are you all up in this business?"
"Well, I'm very possessive and protective. I am not going to sit here and watch two of my friends become empty shells of people because a clueless someone decided to jump in between."
