Carol Danvers was anything but normal and even she was well aware of that. She was smart, witty, tender hearted, loyal, and from past lovers she's been told she was a really good kisser amongst other things as well.

Sitting on the bed, Carol felt a twinge in her heart. She wasn't one to steal girlfriends, at least not her friends girlfriends; and the thought that Steve believed she would steal Natasha from him was obscured. Sure she liked Natasha, but she valued Steves friendship more. Lost in thought, Carol decided to lay back and close her eyes briefly. Natasha, who was still happily present in the bedroom, looked at Carol and cocked her head. "Everything alright?" Carols eyes jolted open and she looked to see who spoke to her. "I forgot you were still here." Carol felt blush creep on her face as she was truly embarrassed that she forgot the half bedridden assassin.

Natasha shook her head to dismiss Carols comment. "I asked you if everything is alright. I expect an answer." Natasha crossed her arms over her chest and narrowed her sparkly green eyes at the pretty dirty blonde. "Speak." Carols eyes widened as she heard the demanding tone in Natashas voice, one that made her feel even more attracted to her. "I'm just..." The look on Natashas face told Carol that she better tread carefully. "Everything is fine, Natasha.
It's just your boyfriend who needs to believe people when they make a promise." Carol looked away from Natasha and to the door and continued to play out Steves words in her head.

"My boyfriend? Carol he's still married to that psycho of a woman; there is no way in Hell that he is my boyfriend. Not until she's out of the picture. Plus, he hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend. I think he just assumes we're a couple because, we slept together and say I love you...but we're not together." Natasha uncrossed her arms from her chest and pat the open side next to her. "Come here, Carol." Carol looked back at Natasha and raked her left brow. "I don't take demands from people." Natasha raised both her brows and Carol quickly obeyed.

Moving to the center of the bed, Carol looked at Natasha and sighed. "What do you need?" Natasha laughed devilishly as she quickly flashed a smile. "Need? No, it's more of a want." Natasha could feel the worry grow in Carol. "We're just friends, right?" Carol nodded and took mental notes of Natashas words, especially because red flags were popping up left and right. "Well Steve seems to think otherwise. He's jealous that you're with me all day long. He hates that you can comfort me quickly and that it takes him forever. He's mad that you can apply the ointment without hurting me. Steve in general is upset that it's you and not him."

Carol rolled her eyes as she knew far too well what Natasha was saying. "Oh believe me, I know. He said some things to me in the hallway and it's not sitting right with me. Natasha, I would never make any kind of advances towards you because, you're with Steve. Official or not, he loves you and I'm not going to ruin it, as much as I'd love to." Carol quickly grabbed a pillow and stuffed her face into it. "You weren't supposed to hear that!" Now, of all times, Carol felt like a school girl who was exposing her secret crush and it truly sucked.

Natasha smirked as she heard those words. 'I knew it! Carol Danvers has a crush on you!' Natasha reached for Carols hand, but instead she opted for her shoulder. With a gentle squeeze, Natasha cleared her throat. "Carol, I want to try something. I've never done it before, but I want to try. I want to prove to myself what I told Steve is true." Carol poked her head up out of curiosity, but still held the pillow from her nose down. "What's that?" A muffled tone comes from Carol as she continues to press the pillow harder, hoping she'd smother herself to death. "Friends kiss...right?" Natasha bit her lower lip anticipating the answer from Carol.

Eyes wide, heart pounding, fear filtering through her veins, Carol gulped and then took a deep breath before removing the pillow. "Natasha...sometimes? But we can't because, what if what you told Steve wasn't true? What if you like it? He'll kill me because I A.) not only broke my promise, but B.) I'm taking his girl away. I-I can't do this, I can't break my promise." Carol moved from the bed and made her way to the door. "I need to sleep. The doors are locked, you'll be ok." Natasha pouted and crossed her arms back over her chest. "Can't you sleep in here? I won't do anything and I won't ask again..." Carol turned around and hissed. "Damn it, Natasha, I said no! I want to be alone."

Carol then left the room without another word, leaving Natasha to defend herself if anything was to go wrong, but she desperately needed to be alone. After all, Carol Danvers was anything but normal and she knew herself well, because if she wasn't alone, she'd have Natasha stripped down to the bare and she would show her how amazing it is to be with another woman.
