6 weeks. That's how long it took Natasha to heal, no fully, but enough that she was able to work again. She had officially relocated herself to a new home that was next door to Carol. It wasn't much, but it was big enough for her and Steve, when he decided to come over, and her cat Liho; a small black cat with hazel eyes that sparkled.

Natasha decided it was time for a new phone and a new number, and finally decided to color her hair red. Her shoulder length, long bob, was swooped up in a pony tail while she was wearing black sweatpants and a white T-shirt, while she was curled up on her black sofa reading a book. She was waiting for Steve to come over, but she knew he was working late. Still unsure of living by herself again, Natasha kept her gun by her at all times. She didn't want to risk almost dying again.

'You know, for being an assassin you're being quite weak. Grow a pair and man up, Nat. You've gone through worse. This is nothing.' False, this was something. Anyone that crossed her never made an attempt to offing her, other than Sharon. Natashas wronged every person she's come across and she'd have to admit, she wronged Sharon, but she did t expect this kind of behavior from a regular human being. Turning the page to her book, Natasha heard a squeak coming from her backdoor and she instantly grabbed her gun.

Slowly standing, Natasha placed her book on the sofa and began to walk. Her heart was pounding and sweat began to build up on her hands, making it difficult to have a firm grip on her gun. Taking a deep breath, Natasha walked down the small hallway and took a sharp turn to the right, her gun still pointing straight. A few more steps and Natasha froze when she heard another squeak coming from the backdoor. Natasha took another deep breath and she walked slowly before turning left and looking straight at the person she wasn't expecting. Carol.

"Fuck you!" Natasha dropped her gun to the small table and took an extra deep breath. "I thought you were Sharon! God, I was scared! Why didn't you text me and tell me you were coming over?" Natasha wrapped her arms around her body trying to calm herself back down, but she was in too worked up that she couldn't calm herself.

Carols eyes were wide when she saw the gun, but when she looked at Natasha, she saw the fear in her eyes. "Nat, I DID text you. You even responded with k and a smiley face." Carol walked over to Natasha and wrapped her up in a hug and squeezed her tightly. "Shh, it's ok." Feeling Natasha snuggle closer into their embrace, Carol slowly began to rock her. "If you're still scared, you can always stay with me. I'm not against it." Hearing Natasha chuckle, Carol let go and looked at her now red head of a crush with a soft smile. "I brought over pizza and some beer. It's on the counter."

Natasha turned to look into her kitchen and she saw the food and drinks. "You're the best, you know that right?" Grabbing Carols hand, Natasha guided her to the kitchen for them to get their food and beer. Once they did, they both walked into the living room and sat on the couch. "How are things going Carol?" Natasha wanted time know if carol had found a girlfriend yet, if not she wanted to see if Carol would still be against the two of them fooling around, since she and Steve haven't had sex in what seemed to be forever.

Carol shrugged and cracked open her beer and took a swig. "Things are fine. The house is lonely without you. The dating pool is small which means my love life is nonexistent. Work is meh. But I do have something to ask." Carol nervously bit her lower lip while she looked at Natasha who was happily eating her pizza.

"Mmm what's that?" Natasha raised her eyebrows while she opened her beer and took a sip. It's been awhile since she drank, but she tried to pace herself as much as possible. Carol took a deep breath and looked down at her pizza. "When you said you wanted to kiss me and then have sex with me, what made you want that? I'm just asking because I feel...undesirable and I'm thinking that's why I'm not dating anyone. I'm just looking for answers that's all." Carol looked at Natasha and she saw the look in her eyes, which told her she was in for it.

Natasha placed her plate and beer down on the coffee table and then did the same to Carols. She moved closer to Carol and she grabbed her hand. "Carol, you are NOT undesirable. You are the most attractive woman I have ever met. You're kind, loyal, honest, beautiful. You have so much love to give, I should know because, I received it when I stayed with you. I wanted to kiss you because, I felt safe with you and I discovered feelings I didn't know existed. I wanted sex with you because, well honestly I was horny and I would have screwed anything that had two legs, but again because I trusted you and I knew it would be good. Carol, she's out there waiting for you. I know she is." Natasha squeezed her hand tightly before looking deeply into her eyes.

Carol smiled and took a deep breath and moved her face closer to Natashas. "Well then can I ask one more thing?" Natasha nodded and bit her lower lip. "Is that offer still on the table?"
