"What? Anne! You surely must be joking. We've only just started!" The kings voice booms throughout the Palace.

"I am sorry your highness, well and truly, however I soon realized my destiny dose not lie with Roman," Anne smiles as she looks over at me before quickly diverting her attention back to the king," he belongs to another."

Filled with confusion and rage, the king tried hard to contain himself around her however it all comes out," this was his last chance to be fixed. Our last chance to restore the kingdom, Anne and you want to take that away from us all."

"If the future ruler isn't happy then how can you expect the subjects to be happy, my lord," she sighs," It's better this way."

He's soon in a fit of unnecessary anger followed by a long, convoluted rant at Anne for refusing to complete for Romans hand and I'm sat watching it all unfold," you're just going to walk away and let him trick Roman into thinking he's like him? I would never give my son to such a man," he pauses, in thought for a moment," that is unless he can defeat me in combat."

I look at him like he's crazy, my face contorted with confusion and a little bit of concern; is this how he settled everything? I stifle a laugh at the thought of him challenging Roman to a duel over the last breakfast muffin.

"What? Don't think you can do it?"

"I don't think," I sound a little to over confident," I know."

"Very well. You and I will duel in 3 days time at 4:30pm exactly. If you win, you can have Romans hand however If you lose you you must leave and never return."
