Roman and I were suddenly called the Great dining hall by his parents.
"Remember, Princey. We need to act professionally. You're parents would probably have me hung if they knew." I let out a nervous laugh.
"I know. Its going to be fine,"he cups my face in his hands," we won't blow our cover."
I nod before we step into the hall, me holding open the doors and doing normal servant stuff for Roman as we made our way through the Palace.
We bow as we stand in from of King Auther and Queen Marradith.
"Everyone," the king spoke up,"You may go. I wish to speak to my son and his servant boy in peace."
We all lift our heads, the others evacuating the room.
"Son, it has been brought to my attention that you and your servant have," his face twists, " become... Quite friendly with one another."
"Which is fine!" the Queen quickly steps in," we just know the public aren't about that sort of thing. As royals we need to protect our family name. We can't have the public knowing about you're little... Phase."
"mother, you must understand, I've always been this way. It's who I am. Why do I need to hide it? I could change the world. I know I'm not the only closeted royal." Roman defends.
"How exactly would it change the world?" his father spat, laughing at the idea.
"I... Uh..."
"It could benefit the public," I butt in, " not only them but the other royals from all other kingdoms. It'll show people that it's ok."
Roman smiles at me, I smile back, resisting the temptation to kiss him.
"Silence." his father calmly orders, as calm as it can get," Roman, my son, I get that you're trying to find yourself but do you really think this is the answer?"
"I know this is me. I've know for a long time," Roman thinks for a second, his mind clearly racing even from an outside perspective. It's clear he's stook on what to say next.
"Roman, look at me, " his mother steps in front of him," Are you sure you love this Boy?"
Roman nods, "of course I do."
"and does he love you?" she looks over at me.
"Y-yes your highness." I stammer, going visibly red in the face.
"Then what's the problem with this?"
"I'll tell you what the problem is," Auther interjects, "our family reputation and blood line is in jeopardy."
"There are more important things than reputation!"
"But most things are more important than love!" a new voice enters the room.
