I'm so happy to get my 200th reader today! Thank you so much! I hope you're enjoying...I don't really know since no one commented, but that's okay. Sometimes no news is good news, I guess!

Dimitri was bleeding from a small cut on his nose. I didn't dare go over to him, but instead, I sat on the floor on a stack of books. Genna was still sobbing wildly now until Dimitri snapped, "Shut up, Genevieve; I will still kill him." The vampire still had said nothing, but he stood obediently with Dimitri's crushing hands around his neck and a stick sitting on the Queen's desk beside them. The King came in red faced and walking faster than I'd ever seen him. "Dimitri! What is the meaning of this?" He cut himself off to exclaim in a gasp, "Vampire!"
"Her vampire," Dimitri pointed at his sister with a harsh look in his eyes.
"He doesn't belong to me," Genna cried.
"Oh?" Dimitri cocked and eyebrow and twisted his hands to snap the creature's next.
Genna jumped up and gasped, "No! Stop! Please!"
"Her vampire," Dimitri spit out.
"Yes," Genna's head hung low, "He is my boyfriend from the academy, yes. He means you no harm."
"Boyfriend? Boyfriend!" the King's loud voice boomed. "Let this lover speak then," the king said in mock respect.
"Then, release him!" Genna yelled at Dimitri. Dimitri threw the vampire to his knees. Then Dimitri picked up a sharp letter holder and began to shave the stick.
"You realize your kind is not welcome here, the King stated.
"Yes," the vampire's first words were, "I know Your Highness. Like Princess Genna said, we mean you no harm. I only came with her because I love her, and we were trying to escape today away from here. She knew you'd never approve."
The King scoffed, "Obviously! You have a lot of nerve coming here, trying to take my daughter of the werewolf throne away, and expecting your life."
"It was stupid yes, but I did it out of love for her. She hates it here, sir. She misses her school, her friends..."
"Vampire friends?" the King asked sharply.
The vampire sounded humble, professional, and weak, "Yes, and she begged I come with her. If only you could've seen her..."
"What's to say I don't have my goon," the King nodded to Dimitri, making them both laugh, "kill you? That stake looks rather sharp."
"It's not advisable, King Rupert," the vampire said, dangerously using the King's first name, "I am the crown prince to the throne in human Russia. A war may ensue between our nations, and I don't believe any of us want that."
"Russian Prince, aye? Well, I do have a solution. Your humility has saved you. However, if any of your kind come near here again, do not think you will receive this mercy again. A pack will transport you back to your school, where you will not speak of this to anyone. Understood, vampire?"
"Elliot! No! I love you!" Genna screamed; she was held back by a guard.
"Escort her away to her room ," the King ordered.
She kicked her feet and screamed loudly. When she passed by Dimitri, she yelled at him, "You heartless beast!" He didn't look up, but he turned the stake over in his hands.
"Take him away also," the King said of the vampire. It was just the two of us and the head guard who were left in the room. "Now, listen, I am closing the castle. No one in or out. No more parties or balls. This will not happen again." The King turned on his heel and exited with the guard close behind, going to secure the perimeter. I was left alone with the angry prince with the stake in his hand.
