THE OTHER
I stood dumbfounded with the spotlight, waves of realization hits me.
I couldn't breathe, as the water ran extra cold from my mouth.
My heart paused its beating, like blankets of sadness had covered me.
I nervously looked at you, and I couldn't find words to say.
Every minute I waited for you to change my mind.
Late at night, you smiled when you slept, and I wondered who you dream with.
I could see a wine on your t shirt, as I smelled it and it wasn't our favourite drink.
I couldn't control this feeling after all the past nights I laid by your side.
How could you made my brain felt so far?
I tried to cuddle you with love, as you woke up and said a different name, it slapped right through my face with pain.
I realised I was not the one you thought I was, and it hurts you expected someone else than me.
Tonight, I was alone in these sheets, feeling guilty that I shouted you with my anger.
I know our time was about to end, and I need one more night to make things right where it used to be.
We fell from the peak, our stars lost its bright, like the story had ended tragic.
I tried to forget how I landed in this road of nowhere.
I was caught in between, I couldn't forget when I sunk deep in the sea of regrets, along with my tears had choked me up.
These never been a way to make this easy to fix what is broken.
The day I saw how you kissed his lips with desire, as my heart was struck by electric wires.
---Either your head or your heart, you set the other on fire.

A/N: Hi guys. This poem was inspired by lauv's song entitled "The Other." and I kinda enjoyed it when I wrote it down.
I was disappointed since I don't have an original piece that came from my heart, aside from my poem entitled "Reminds Me Of You."
Hopefully, in the next updates I will.
Hope you guys like this piece!
