Steve and I ran trough the dark, wet forest. My teeth were clattering quietly and I was shivering. Steve stopped behind a tree. "We're here." he whispered. There were high fences with barbed wire at the top and a few guard towers with lights on top of them. I heard a car and placed a hand on Steve's shoulder, pulling him down with me: "Get down." I whispered. He followed my gaze and saw the cars. He looked back at me: "I have an idea.". When he saw the last car, he grabbed my hand and ran towards it.
We jumped into the back of the car, but we were not alone. The guards looked surprised which caused a situation where the 4 of us were just awkwardly staring at eachother: "Fellas." he spoke up and the guys came at us. I managed to dodge the first few punches the guy threw at me. I pushed him against the side and that's where he managed to punch me in the nose, causing my eyes to water. I head butted him and threw him to the other side, finishing him off with a kick in his ribs, then his stomach. He fell to his knees. Steve threw his guy out of the back, my guy following his friend not long after that. Steve and I were panting heavily, his firm chest heaving. "You okay?" I wiped the blood from my nose away and nodded at him: "You?" he nodded in return: "You took quiet a blow to your face didn't you." I chuckled a bit: "Would've felt bad if he didn't land a single hit." Steve gave me one of his perfect little smiles.
Before we knew it we were inside the camp. A guy took a look inside the truck. What he saw? Steve's shield hitting him in the face, causing him to fall back. "Come on" he whispered and we got out of the truck. We ran deeper into the camp and hid between some tanks. There were a lot of enemys around, so we had to be quick and quiet. I noticed a tank standing really close to a building and I got an idea. I shook Steve's shoulder slightly and pointed at the tank: "if we get on top of that tank, we could get on the roof of that small building and get in trough there." I pointed at some windows. He looked back at me: "Good idea, I'll go first." Steve ran off, jumped on the tank and on the roof. He looked around and motioned for me to come. I ran across the open spot, jumped on the tank and on the roof.
Once we were in we had to figure out where the 107th was being held. It was a massive building. "Stay behind me." Steve whispered when we stood in front of a door. I nodded and stood with my back against the wall, Steve standing in front of the door. A guard opened the door and Steve slammed the door against his skull, finishing him off with a blow to the face. He moved the guard out of the way and we went in. We ended up in a big room, with once again a lot of enemys. We crossed the room by hiding between all the stuff. In the corner of my eye, I saw a bright blue light. "Psst." Steve looked at me and I pointed at the light. We walked towards it: "What is it?" I whispered. Steve picked up one of the pieces: "Honestly? No idea. Maybe Stark knows." He put the piece in his pocket and we continued moving trough the big hall.
We came into another hall and past another door. I carefully looked trough the little window in the door and I could see what seemed to be the top of cells. A guard was walking on top of them. I tapped Steve's shoulder and showed him. "I got this", I whispered. I quietly opened the door and wrapped my arm around the guards throat, squeezing as hard as I could: "Shhh it's okay, just go to sleep. Go to sleep" I whispered, feeling his body go limp. When I looked down, all the soldiers were looking at me. I dropped his body and handed Steve the key. "Who are you supposed to be?" one of the soldiers gave Steve a confused look. "I'm Captain America." "And the girl?" another one asked. I shrugged: "I don't really have a cool name like him. Just here to try and make the world a better place.".
Steve and I jumped down, opening one of the cells. The soldiers walked out of the cell: "What, are we taking everybody? I'm from Fresno, Ace.", He showed us his dogtags. "Is there anybody else?" ,I interupted him, "We're looking for a Sergeant James Barnes." One of the guys let out a little sigh: "There's an isolation ward in the factory, but no one's ever come back from it." I nodded: Steve you stay here and open up the other cells. Get these men to safety." I was about to run off when he grabbed my wrist: "I'm not letting you go all by youself Y/N" I sighed and placed my hand on his upper arm: "Steve I can do this. Please just-" "no". He cut me off. I squeezed his upped arm: "Do you trust me?". He stayed quiet, not breaking eye contact: "Steve." He sighed: "Yes." "Then let me do this.", I let go of his upper arm, "Bucky is my friend too and these men need all the help they can get. Like Peggy said they already went trough hell." Steve looked away and rolled his eyes, clearly frustrated: "Fine, but be careful." "You too." I gave him a kiss on his cheeck, our gaze lingering a bit, and I took off to find Bucky.
