As soon as I left the territory, I shifted and carried Angelica in her blankets by my mouth. I ran and ran, running for the only place I knew to be relatively safe for Angelica and myself.
My parents, even though it was the last place I want to be, it was my only choice. I needed my pup to be safe, and that's all that mattered to me.
I'd stop running only to nuts Angelica when she needed to be fed, other than that, I continued to run in wolf form, her being carried in my mouth as carefully as possible.
Reaching the packs territory, I come to a stop. It's been a couple of days and I was exhausted and in sure need of rest, but I would not rest till she was safe.
Standing at the border, I found myself hesitant, to continue, afraid of what may happen as I cross the border, as not only are we rogues at this point, but what will her Dad do to us.
I hear growls and twigs snap behind me. Forcing me to cross the territory line. Suddenly I feel the rush of the pack, beIN alerted to my presence and the strength that they hold.
But that's the last thing on my mind as a pack of rogues cross as I turn to face them, putting Angelica down behind me at a safe distance.
The rogues attacked, before help could come, when it finally did, I only had the strength to crawl to Angelica and wrap my body around her, trying to warm her small delicate body with mine.
She grabs my fur in her tiny hands, and snuggles close, searching for the warmth that my fur will provide her. After the pack destroyed the rogues, they surround me and Angelica.
I growl, with the little strength, I have left, as I am bleeding badly, and it's sapping my strength, as my wolf tries to heal me, as quickly as possible.
I hear a menacing growl approach, as I start to lose conciousness. Angelica wimpers into my fur, as I pass out and everything becomes black.
When I can start to hear something, all I hear is a loud beeping sound, and I know it's a heart monitor.
"Alpha, she's weak," a voice says, as a door is opened. He growls and approaches the bed. "Andrea, is the pup mine," he asks.
My throat is tight, but I manage a nod. He growls, "why didn't you tell me," he says. The heart monitor starts to race, as my heart rate picks up.
I feel my wounds reopen, and everything goes black, as I hear Josh yell for a doctor, "save her, no matter the cost," he says.
