Angelica's POV:
It's been a week and Cody still hasn't come home. I climb out of bed,not caring about how I look, I leave the clothes I had on from yesterday on, and make my tear streaked self, out of my room.
I soon find myself standing outside my Dad's office door. I can hear murmering inside, as he quietly talks to someone. I place my hand on the door, when I hear my dad's concerned voice.
"Why hasn't he returned," my Dad growls, "it was suppose to be a easy thing, all he was suppose to do was deliver the package to you alpha Charles," my Dad says, as he remains growling.
I open the door and walk in, seeing my Dad on the phone and our Delta in a chair in front of the desk. My Dad looks up and takes in my appearance, giving me a sad smile.
Soon he hangs up the phone and then stands up, walking to me. "Angel, I promise this wasn't planned, Cody was just suppose to bring Alpha Charles a package that I procured for him," my Dad says, wrapping me in his arms.
"Daddy where is he," I cry into his shoulder. My Dad pulls away from me and looks at me. His eyes remain on mine, as mine flow with tears.
Suddenly I am wracked in pain, and my Dad catches me before I fall to the floor. "Angelica what's going on," my Dad asks panicked. "I.....it hurts," I cry.
"What hurts," my Dad says. "Ev.... everything, Daddy it hurts," I cry, as I clutch at my invisible wounds. "Cody," is all my Dad says, before I pass out from the pain I am feeling.
"Alpha I will keep her sedated, for now, but there's not much else I can do," someone else says, as I start to wake up. "Cody should have been back days ago," my dad's voice says, as I can feel him brush a strand of hair from my face.
"Angel, we'll find him," my Dad says, "I know I've been an ass about him being your mate, but I was trying to protect you," Dad says, I swear I could hear him give a slight sob. "We'll find him baby," he says, kissing my forehead, and then leaves the room.
I can't open my eyes, but my senses are on high alert, as I laid in my bed. I feel someone poke me with a needle, before everything starts to fade, as I fall asleep.
