Cody's POV:
I took her and ran, as soon as Alpha Josh mindlinked us. I can't lose her, and I will not let Alpha Marcus touch her. She's mine, my mate, not his.
The only option for us was the human land. I ran for hour's, with Angel riding on my back, I didn't want her to tire as we both ran, so I chose to carry her.
Reaching our destination, I slow down and then come to a stop, Angelica had fallen asleep on my back awhile ago, the stress wearing her out.
"Angel, baby, I need you to wake up," I link her. She groans, cutely but wakes up slowly. "Where are we," she asks. "Human land, I need to shift before we go to a hotel," I tell her.
She climbs off my back, and I shift. She hands me my clothes and I quickly put them on. Wrapping my arms around her protectively, we walk out of the woods and cross the road.
About ten minutes of walking, we come across the hotel, I've stayed in many times, while hiding from rogues and such, before heading home.
We walk in, and I dig out the money I stashed in my pants pocket. I always keep a money stash, just incase of emergencies, like this.
With Angel tucked safely into my side, I get us a room, her scent becoming stronger, as her heat draws near. We make our way to the room. I walk in first making sure it's safe, before she follows.
I watch as she sits on the bed, and puts her head in her hands. "Cody, what are we going to do," she asks. I walk up to her and rub her back, "we'll figure it out baby," I tell her, "maybe the warriors will retaliate or something like that and kill Marcus," I growl hopefully.
"I do know that we will not be going back, he will not touch you," I growl, telling her. She wimpers and cuddles into me. "I don't want to lose you," she says.
"You will never lose me baby," I tell her, pulling her into a kiss. Our kiss becomes heated. Pulling away, we both pant for air. I climb into the bed, and pull her to me, holding her close, as she snuggles laying half on me and half off. We soon fall asleep, as I allow my wolf to be on full alert, just incase.
