Part 9

 Ella

I laid in the dark silence of my room completely bombarded by the events of the day, with an emotional handover a throbbing headache and an aching heart I couldnt even begin to process everything that happened.

"you will be ok." Nova said with certainty in the back of my mind.

"i know." I sobbed back.

"tommorow we begin training, are you ready?" She asks and I almost detect concern.

"i am, I dont want to be weak anymore." I say with determination.

"thats what we like to hear." she says curling up in my mind and sleeping. Im not far behind her felling asleep but I am awoken to a loud knock on my bedroom door and the sound of a newborn screaming. I get out of bed rubbing my eyes and swing my door open to see a tired and flustered looking Ana.

"is everything ok?" I ask rubbing my eyes.

"no Mori had to go to a pack meeting the girls need to get ready for school and this little one needs his booty changing but I cant do all three we should have had a few more weeks. But I just came to tell you I was serving breakfast." she says very quickly.

"ok breath and calm down one thing at a time, I will change the little mans bum while you get the twins ready for school." I say with a smile, she hesitates for a moment before handing the tiny little baby to me mumbling something about the changing stuff being on her bed and rushing downstairs to the girls. I gently rock the baby who soon soothes his wailing as I walk into his mamas room.

"now then little one should we change your bum?" I say to the sweet little baby who yawns and sucks his fist.

"ugh I hate children." Nova says disgruntaly as I place the baby gently on the bed.

"he is not a child he is a baby and this is the most adorable stage. I say while getting everything laid out and ready.

"now then little man." I say with a smile as he wiggles his fist and yawns while kicking his legs.

It does not take me a second to change his little bum and dress him in the clothes laid out for him before picking him up and giving him a little tap on his bum, within a few seconds he was asleep in my arms.

"your good with babies." Nova says surprised.

"i like to think I am I used to baby sit when I was younger and this age was always my favorite.

"oh you handled that like an expert." Ana says loudly coming in and I cover my mouth with a finger to indicate being quiet and she mouthes sorry while looking over at her sleeping newborn.

"your good at that." she says looking at me.

"Nova thinks so too." I say with a smile while handing her sleeping newborn back.

"oh you and Nova talk now?" she says looking a little surprised.

"only a few words back and forth but she never liked children apparently." I say with a smile while walking past her.

"oh Ella?" ana begins saying but I spin around quickly.

"im just hopping in the shower would you like me to take the girls to school after?" I ask politely.

"its like you read my mind but wouldnt you like some breakfast first?" she asks and I smile.

"im used to skipping breakfast I will get something after now you see if you can go back to sleep for an hour you deserve it dont worry I will clean up." I say with a smile before quickly hopping in the shower then changing into my own clothes that were brought up while I was missing yesterdayand rushing downstairs to see the twins had messed their hair up before we even leave.

"girls look at your hair!" I say in suprise.

"sowwee Eleee" the girls say together.

"thats alright lets get your hair tidy now how do you want it doing." I say getting a hairbrush and hair ties.

"mama only do piggies." pink dress says while pulling at the loose hair.

"well I can do anything so what would you like?" I say with a smile.

"braids" yellow dress says quickly and within a few minutes both girls have matching braids with hair ties to match their dresses.

"now lets get you girls to school." I say excitedly as they collect their bags take my hands and lead me on the way to school since I have no idea where I am going. As soon as we get within sight of the school the girls set of running to their teacher excitedly rambling about their new hair.

"oh hello your not mummy can I ask who you are?" the teacher says politely.

"i am Ella im staying at Mori and Anas house for the time being." I say smiling at the girls as they grin back.

"oh nice to meet you. You must be the new pack member the pack have been aglow about." she says ushering the girls inside the class and putting their bags on their name pegs.

"well if you say so." I smile brightly.

"would you like to stay and meet the other children?" the teacher asks and at the girls excited begging I do finally agree.

Over the next hour I meet many children all of which are difforent and beautiful and stronger than any child I have known before, they also seem to have more energy although maybe that was still yesterday catching up with me, I braided three girls hair and painted a picture with a group of little boys who were all very impressed when I explained adults paid me for pictures of animals and I promised that if they got permission from their parents I would bring some of my art to show them. Over all their teacher and the children really seemed to like me, although Nova was not as impressed by everything and sighed releved at me when I finally made my excuses and left. By memory alone I found my way back to the house and had the kitchen spotless top to bottom before Mori got home from his meeting.

"sorry I left you all in the lurch." he says with an apologetic smile as I begin making myself something to eat.

"it was not a problem I got the little man cleaned up and sent Ana back to sleep while I took the girls to school. Have you eaten?" I ask while figuring out how many eggs to cook.

"no I havent some eggs would be wonderful, you need any help?" he says gesturing to stand up.

"no I got it, scrambled ok?" he nods in response.

"so how was your big important meeting this morning?" I say quickly getting to work.

"oh you know the usual boring meeting" he says rubbing his eyes.

"so Nova says she wants to start training today." I say while stiring the eggs and hear him choke in the background.

"she asked you?" he says in suprise.

"more like told me but I agree we should start trainging after all its wasiting time if not and I pride myself on being efficient." I say with a bright smile.

"speak for yourself, first children and now actually wanting to do things." Nova mumbles at me.

"well no time like the persent I supose so when we have eaten we can start training." he says with a smile and it barely takes me a few minutes to plate up a meal for us both which he eats very quickly and I pick at much slower but eventually we head outside and he guides me to a training ground.

"ok so dont worry we will not be doing any hard stuff today we are just going to sit and try and guide you to your first full transformation into Nova ok?" Mori says.

"ok" both Nova and I say together.
