Ellas Haze (Book One of Ellas story)

Part 10

 Ella

my first few lessons were a bust, I decided it was no good sitting and waiting and Nova agreed. If we were going to get stronger we have to work together and one of the ways we can do that is running Mori suggested that every spare moment I get I take a run and Nova comments on things a wolf would do while I run such as smell the breeze or chase a rabbit and I try my best to explore those things even as a human so for the week I have been here and thankfully not had to deal with the Alpha at all I have spent all of my time helping with the children keeping the house and running. Nova and I have got much better at communicating and I have thankfully got used to her intrusions at times I would not like them like showering or going to the toilet or trying to sleep. It takes a lot of getting used to when voices talk in your head even if the one voice is a part of you now.

Here I am on my usual morning run when I get distracted talking in my own head and plow into a hard dark pass of fur. I fall on my ass looking up in confusion and groan getting to my feet and brushing the dust off my ass ready to run away,

"hey wait" he shouts after me and I freeze mid step.

"what Alpha," I say exasperatedly.

"what are you doing?" he asks pulling a pair of shorts over his hips behind me.

"going for a run. Am I forbidden?" I say sarcastically tugging my shirt into place over my ass.

"here?" he asks confused.

"this is the path Mori showed me to run. Why?"

"we have been trying to track a wolf through these paths the last few days."

"oh well I have been running here for about 4 days now." I say making eye contact with the big bad Alpha wolf.

"you have?" he says stepping very close to me and making me uncomfortble, even Nova growls in my head. He freaks me the hell out when he leans down and snifs my neck.

"hey what are you." I say trying to step away but he holds me by my shoulders and buries his nose in the nape of my neck taking a long hard inhail.

"its you its your scent, your wolf." he mumbles into my neck making no effort to move away from me.

"what is me? Let go." I yell before pushing him away slightly.

"your the wolf that I have been tracking." he groans running his hands through his hair.

"hey whats your problem." I demand.

"my problem?" he growls.

"yes your problem, kissing me then threatening me then playing nice with me then avoiding me and now being creepy and sniffing me whats your problem do you do this to all the Wolves in the pack?" I demand turning to walk away but before I can his hand body is suddenly pressing me up against another tree.

"who are you to question an alpha." he growls.

"who are you to demand I blindly follow." I growl back allowing Nova to show herself in my eyes.

"you question my possition?" he barks grabbing me by the arm hard.

"what possition the one holding me against a tree or breaking my arm." I snap having enough of his attitude already.

"you cant even transform you have no idea what you are doing." he growls grabbing me by the throat and suddenly I am pushed to the back of my own mind and Aiden is flying through the air and slamming into the tree, my voice is no longer mine it is strong and chilling and now we are attracting the attention of all wolves in the surrounding area. Nova turns our back to the alpha as she walks from the tree line and into the clearing of the training grounds. His feet hammer the ground behind me but Nova ducks and avoids his hits. His eyes widen in suprise at how easily she avoided his blows and I can feel the power under my skin I could turn full wolf if I wanted to right now but I know better than to try Nova knows what she is doing without my intrusion. For once myself and Nova are in full agreement that she will handle this far better than I will.

"we can do this all day Aiden." she says cockily. I begin to feel tingly and warm I am assuming thats from losing control of my own body for a while.

"thats Alpha to you!" he growls.

"prove it." nova says. Wolves from the pack suddenly start gathering and watching what is happening.

He swipes for me again and Nova deftly moves away as though dancing and jabs him in the ribs on the way past he spins in lightning speed trying to swipe me from my feel but Nova does a very delicate back flip out of his graps landing on a charging pose and as he dives for her she jumps on his back and uses his momentum to throw her forwards while he is knocked off balance.

"i am Done with this game Ella." the Alpha growls in warning.

"oh dont you realise this is not Ella that is out to play." Nova growls.

"then do this like wolves and transform." he says and Nova fades from my eyes pushing me forward again.

"see I knew you couldnt do it." he laughs cockily.

"oh no Aiden she just wanted to make sure I agreed with her on this one." I say in my own voice and a few seconds later very gracefuly I drop away from myself and Nova rises alowing my bones to reshape and my nails to grow my mouth enlongated and ears sprouted and then finally glowing tufts of long silver fur sprout all over my body and when I open my eyes I am still in control but seeing and thinking as Nova.

"you are one." Aiden gasps stumbling backwards. I scan the crowd around us to see shocked faces and whispers amongst them all but none more suprising that Mori the beta who walks over to me, I growl in warning until he lowers his head and I let him aproach.

"Nova?" he asks and I shake my head.

"Ella?" he asks and I shake my head once again.

"Both." Nova and I say together and we see the shock go through everyone's faces.

Mori bows to me and I lower my head back at him, we hear gasps and shouts from wolves around us as Mori stands gesturing towards Aiden.

"we welcome Nova the new Wolf of the Barnes family pack." Aiden says loudly. My brain begins to feel fuzzy but Nova growls at the Alpha.

"you are not our Alpha." Nova says powerfully and many wolves lower their head in respect to her power.

"then what you challenge me?" Aiden laughs but Mori looks nervous now.

"i dont fight defenceless wolves." Nova chuckles.

"then I will transform." Aiden barks getting ready to transform.

"Nova I dont feel too good," I say beginning to feel dizzy.

"whats going on?" Nova says directly to me.

"i feel hot and dizzy and weak." I say beginging to woble so bad Nova phisicaly wobbles and clearly Mori notices this because he drops to his knees beside nova and she lets him place a hand on her neck.

"something is wrong can you make sure Ella is ok?" Nova says into Moris head somehow and Mori gasps.

"you did not accept pack how can I hear you?" he says outloud and now Aiden tries to step closer so Nova bares her teeth at him and he stops his movement.

"i dont think thats important right now." nova growls in Moris head.

"ok, transform back and I will get her streight to the doctor." Mori says back to Nova and I.

"if I transform he tears her throat out." she says nodding to Aiden.

"he will not touch Ella and I think you know why." he says and I feel Nova thinking hard.

"you are sure?" she says now sounding more hessitant than I have ever known her to be.

"reach out to him." Mori says and soon after I feel Nova reach out to another mind but by now I am too fuzzy to realise who.

"nova I feel sick." I mumble feeling sorry for myself and without another word she fades into the back of my mind and my naked as is running as fast as I can to the closest house I bouce through the door and ask the nearest wolf where the bathroom is they tell me and I dash in there reaching the toilet just in time to expel my stomach contents into the empty porcelain bowl before me.
