well to say it's an unusual way to wake up, we were stuck together a few more hours before he slid out with a horrible wet popping sound and then, of course, we had the uncomfortable dripping thing with no way to washing the little bunker and no real clothes I had to settle for wrapping a blanket around myself and agreed to accompany Aiden to Moris house which is closest to where we were and he was expecting us. Walking through his door I was very happy to hear they were running the shower for me and had clean clothes already laid out. By the time I got downstairs they were stood around the kitchen whisper yelling to each other in hushed tones that went quiet as I walked in toweling my hair dry.

"what's going on?" I ask now suddenly feeling self-conscious.

"you better sit down we have a few things to explain to you," Anna says pulling out a chair and gesturing me to sit, I do but I do not feel comfortable at all.

"so..." Aiden starts but seems to change his mind.

"yes?" I say now confused and concerned that this must be bad if even the Alpha can't get his words out.

"Well uh." He says then looks to his sister for help.

"OH FOR FUCKS SAKE! I AM A BIG GIRL I GOT ATTACKED BY A WOLF AND THAT'S HOW I FOUND OUT ABOUT WOLVES, I MOVED TO A WOLF PACK AND WENT THROUGH HAZE AND ALMOST SENT AN ALPHA ROGUE WITH MY PUSSY WHAT THE HELL CAN BE SO BAD THAT YOU ARE ALL TRYING TO FIND A WAY TO SUGAR COAT IT TO ME!" I growl although I think the frustration mostly came from Nova and not me.

"you and Alpha mated," Mori says while the others stand there looking like they just got told off, which I guess they did.

"so? Isn't that what you do to stop the Haze?" I ask now confused.

"no you have sex to stop the Haze but mating is different," Aiden says rubbing his face.

"How different?" I ask now concerned for other reasons.

"like permanent wolf marriage different," Anna adds chewing her nails.

"like you and Mori?" I ask looking at Anna but Mori nods as a response. I'm not entirely sure why, perhaps its shock or the fact I really hope this is a joke but I burst out laughing.

"what's so funny?" Aiden asks looking angry now.

"Your joking right?" I say holding my sides with laughter.

"No this is very serious," Aiden says looking angrier.

"yeah right so I'm mated to the big scary Alpha wolf," I say through fits of laughter.

"yes this is serious," Anna warns but I'm too far gone I think my brain snapped, well until all the air is knocked out of my lungs and my back slams hard into a wall, a hand is around my throat but there are too many tears in my eyes to see who until they speak.

"Still think it's funny? You bit me and triggered my response you did this, I don't know why but you do not deserve to be an Alphas mate." Aiden growls into my face.

"Aiden I..." say sobering from my laughter and realizing he is now furious.

"Do you even understand? Wolves can only have one mate their entire life, one person to love to care for to raise pups with." He says his voice breaking and now I can see Anna and Mori both trying to pull him away from me.

"Aiden I don't understand I..." the words are struggling to get out I'm trying to tell him I can't breathe but the word won't come out and this seems to anger him more.

"Of course you don't your human," he says dropping me and walking to the other side of the room as I gasp and try to take in air.

"a pack is only as strong as its weakest wolf." Aiden mumbles.

"Aiden I'm so sorry," I say rubbing my throat.

"I am not Aiden I am ALPHA you can't even respect my name let alone become a part of it.

"Alpha that is enough this is not Ellas' fault she did not intend for this and has been through a lot lately maybe we should all calm down take some deep breaths and talk about this properly," Mori says standing between us.

"you do not need to talk in this matter Mori this is not your problem to get involved with."

"I am your Beta and your friend I am trying to help," Mori replies but it seems his anger has changed direction.

"you are my Beta do not give yourself more power," Aiden growls.

"Aiden!" Anna growls in warning. Aiden turns to me with a scowl.

"go back to the human world you are not one of us," he says with a snarl before turning and walking from the room, everyone looks shocked for a few moments before Mori picks me up from the floor and sits me on a chair.

"are you alright? I don't know what's going on with him." Anna says passing me a glass of water but I'm shaking too much to drink so I place it on the table. Tears are still freely streaming down my face.

"he just rejected me didn't he," I say with a sob.

"Oh no honey he would regret that for the rest of his life," Anna says holding my hand.

"then why does it feel like I just got dismissed and I don't even know what's happened," I say wiping my eyes on the sleeve of the shirt I now realize must be his.

"he's just scared and unsure," Mori says trying to reassure me.

"no he has never told me to leave before he must mean it," I say pushing my way to stand on shaking legs.

"Please don't go it could make you ill," Anna says looking at me and then Mori pleadingly.

"I'm going to change, he knows where to find me," I say mumbling as I walk up the stairs on shaking legs.

Reaching my room I quietly pack all my belongings into the bag they were brought here in and change into one of the sets of clothes I push two more into the bag padding my laptop along with my notebook and pencils, I push the bag under my bed and know what I must do. I sit silently on the bed for the rest of the day, Anna or Mori pop in a few times trying to get me to eat or drink something but I feel numb and anything more than a few sips of water makes me feel sick to my stomach. I decide I will wait a week and if Aiden does not speak to me or reach out to me at that time then I will leave. Day after day I sit there nibbling dry biscuits or sipping water but nothing more than that.

On the fifth day Anna came in with my clean clothes and yet more food I will not eat.                          "would you speak to him if he was outside?" she asked confusing me tears filled my eyes and I just shook my head to say no when no words would come out. she nodded before leaving the room.

 when the seventh day has been and gone I wait till Mori and Anna go to sleep before collecting my bag and slipping from the room I go down the stairs in rehearsed silence leaving the note I had written on the kitchen counter on my way out and I set out walking the well-worn path to the place I used to call my home, tears drip from my eyes as I think about what I am walking away from the world that felt more like home than my tiny flat or the children homes or anywhere else I had been. How the hell did it come to this?  I remember back to that kiss which seems like a lifetime ago, his soft lips on mine, the way he held me, why did it all change so quickly?
